Pairs like (i1,i1) or (i2,i2) are not required. Now pair (i1,i2) is same as
pair (i2,i1) .How can i chop off the second pair which is identicle to the
first one, only that sequence of item numbers are different ,otherwise my
dataset is same.
I thought of something...like ....running loops for all rows and columns of
this item_pairs dataframe and check if first item in a pair matches with any
second item of previous pair and similarly **s...

Hyperthreaded P4 processor count
I have three different live-CD distributions that give me different
numbers for the cpu count on this box (Dell P4 2.4GHz).
-the Knoppix 3.3 (11-19-03) says 1 processor (no error);
-the PHLAK 0.2 distribution say 1 processor (and 1 missing)
-the Local Area Security distro says two processors (identicle P4s).
Might there be somthing new in 2.0.8 that accounts for this difference. Is
there a switch or whatever that kicks the senond one into play?I would love
to add the 2nd processor (given the kernel is SMPed).

R.dll
Hello
After conducting a simulation R closes down reporting the problem I have
listed below. These are extracted from the event viewer option under
the control panel option in windows. This problem occurs quite often
but is as far as I can tell fairly sparadic. I can run identicle
programs which run successfully the first time but on the second run it
does not (and vise-versa also). Furthermore if I was to run this on
Windows 2000 then the problem doesn't seem to occur at all.
Each fault happened at separate times:
Faulting application rgui.exe, version 1.91.30621.0...

Snom 320 HOLD and TRANSFER not detected
I have a preoblem with my snom 320 phones. I have 5 snom phones installed
and all of them have 5.2 firmware. All have same settings in the advanced
panel. On 2 phones when I press the hold or transfer key nothing happens and
* does not start the musiconhold. In the The hold and transfer keys are set
as F_R and F_TRANSFER correctly as the others. Other snoms and gxp-2000 work
ok.
Any ideas?

Workstation service failing
Greetings all,
Has anyone had any problems with the "workstation service" failing
on Windows XP boxes? My samba server is running Fedora Core 2 w/ kernel
2.6.5-1.358. Samba version is 3.0.3-5 using openldap 2.1.29-1 for
authentication and roaming profiles. The workstation service dies after
authentication, although authentication works. On the XP boxes, I can
start the

Uninitialized constant in a template for production server only
Not sure what is going on here, we are trying to push out a new
version of one of our tools to production. Everything works perfectly
in development (mac) and on our staging server (debian sarge) but the
prodution server (debian sarge) hates what we have done.
We have some variables set in the various environments *.rb file
One of them is a link to another product. It changes based on what

issues with password-file
I have rsync daemon running on a fedora core 4 box that I am trying to use
as a backup server for my web sites. I dont have shell access on my web
host so will need to run a cron job to do the backups, which is what I want
to do anyway.
For testing purposes however I am using a php script using the "system()"
function so I am getting some feedback.
In my rsyncd.conf file I have the
