udev on CEntOS7 - can't get a match, looking for tips...
...t looks like things have changed as I can't seem to get a match on CEntOS7. I'd appreciate any feedback or pointers to help me get my rule working. My two attempts are below. cat /etc/udev/rules.d/90-local.rules KERNEL=="sg[0-9]*", SUBSYSTEM=="scsi_generic", \ ENV{ID_SERIAL}=="1QUANTUM_D0H0112430_LLA", SYMLINK+="sg8" SUBSYSTEM=="scsi", SUBSYSTEMS=="scsi_genric", \ ATTRS{model}=="Scalar i40-i80 ", SYMLINK:="sg8" Neither rule above generates a match with udev, so I still have something wrong. Right now the...

no ForceFeedback in Wine
Hey Guys, The ForceFeedback from my Microsoft Sidewinder ForceFeedback Wheel doesn't work with Wine. I compiled wine myself and "ac_cv_member_struct_ff_effect_direction=yes" was set in the config.log like it is told here: http://wiki.winehq.org/ForceFeedback I also checked that FF is working with BZFlag under Linux. When i play BZFlag with Wine, the FF-Effects are missing. I

What files to edit when changing the sdX of hard drives?
Hi I have read instructions for udev, I also found many example on how to do this. I want to lock in the SDA/SDB/SDC for my drives and I came up with a rule like this KERNEL=="sd?", SUBSYSTEM=="block", ENV{ID_SERIAL}=="ST500DM002-1BC142_W2A56H8A", NAME="sda", RUN+="/usr/bin/logger ID_SERIAL=$ENV{ID_SERIAL} set to /dev/sda ", GOTO="END_PERSISTENT_DISK" However, it is not clear to me is in what files I need to add my rules. Do I add a random file "99-my-rules.rules...

persistent generic device for tape changer
Hello, mtx and therefor amanda use generic device /dev/sg<x> for tape changer. These devices change on reboot. How to make them persistent? /dev/sch0 and /dev/sch1 seem to be persistent. /dev/tape/by-id/ shows links from WWID to generic device An UDEV rule could help? I have not found any example. -- Viele Gr??e Helmut Drodofsky Internet XS Service GmbH He?br?hlstra?e 15 70565

have udev to ignore/hide a scsi disk - but how?
hi everyone I've been playing and trying to tell udev to ignore and not create symlinks in /dev but I fail. Hoping this is the one: ENV{ID_SERIAL}== I've tried: ENV{SYSTEMD_READY}:="0" OPTIONS+="last_rule" even ENV{UDISKS_IGNORE}="1" but udev tests would still show: ACTION=add and symlinks created. Would share an advice? many thanks, L.
