GSSAPI Key Exchange Patch for OpenSSH 4.7p1
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi, I'm pleased to (finally) announce the availability of my GSSAPI Key Exchange patch for OpenSSH 4.7p1. Whilst OpenSSH contains support for doing GSSAPI user authentication, this only allows the underlying security mechanism to authenticate the user to the server, and continues to use SSH host keys to authenticate the server to the

User not really in group
I have a Debian Etch AMD64 server running Samba 3.0.24. It is joined to an active directory domain. Most everything works quite well. I had set up a user for a scanner but forgot to add it to a group so that it could access the target folder, so the scans failed. I then added the account to the group, but for some reason it is still denied access to the directory. I su'ed to the user, and

Problem with locking the password file
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 I'm running HP's CIFS/9000 server (a patched Samba 3.0.22, basically), and am having odd problems with my smbpasswd file remaining locked by client PC's. I'm using the old smbpass backend, intending to switch to tdbsam. Just now, someone who runs smbpasswd to create accounts got an error message with an interrupted system call trying

wordReport
?wordReport gives a lot of information, but I think it makes us wish for more :-) Where can I find all the ways to write Word documents using R? Namely: (1) is there any way to open a new document and save it automatically? The sequence: WordOpen("new_file.doc"); WordInsertText("R rulez!\n"); WordExit() will prompt for the Yes/No/Cancel prompt, and if I answer

Equivalent to Solaris Zones?
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 I just wondered if there was an equivalent to Solaris Zones available for Linux. Not necessarily a full blown separate operating system like vmware, but more like chroot on steroids... - -- Andy Harrison public key: 0x67518262 -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.5 (GNU/Linux) Comment: http://firegpg.tuxfamily.org

How does "case defined(Package["package"])" work?
I''m trying to use a "case defined" statement to configure Munin to automatically create plugin links for packages that are defined by Puppet but the behaviour seems to be unpredictable. I have a similar setup for Samba which works, but the Postfix one doesn''t and I can''t see any difference between them. Can some explain to me how "case
