User not really in group
I have a Debian Etch AMD64 server running Samba 3.0.24. It is joined
to an active directory domain. Most everything works quite well.
I had set up a user for a scanner but forgot to add it to a group so
that it could access the target folder, so the scans failed. I then
added the account to the group, but for some reason it is still denied
access to the directory.
I su'ed to the user, and

Ryacas check
When I do
Rcmd check Ryacas
on my Windows Vista system under
R version 2.6.0 beta (2007-09-23 r42958)
it checks out fine but here:

http://cran.r-project.org/bin/windows/contrib/2.5/check/Ryacas-check.log
it complains about the XML package even though the XML package
*is* declared in the DESCRIPTION file.

wordReport
?wordReport gives a lot of information, but I think it makes us wish for
more :-)
Where can I find all the ways to write Word documents using R?
Namely:
(1) is there any way to open a new document and save it automatically?
The sequence:
WordOpen("new_file.doc"); WordInsertText("R rulez!\n"); WordExit()
will prompt for the Yes/No/Cancel prompt, and if I answer

Custom type
Hi.
I have a small problem with the custom type I am working on. I define
method ''evaluate'' which is called after all data is been collected. Here
it is:
module Puppet
newtype(:test) do
newparam(:name) do
end
newparam(:listen) do
defaultto "silent"
end
def evaluate
puts "evaluating..."
return super.evaluate
end

How does "case defined(Package["package"])" work?

setup for Samba which works, but the Postfix one doesn''t and I can''t see
any difference between them.
Can some explain to me how "case
