Help with hazard plots
...e lifetime of a customer who signs up on Jan 1 and cancels on Jan 2 is 1.
My question is: Why are these two so different? How do I know which is right?
The call that I'm making to produce the model is:
hazardV08 <- muhaz(nmc,s,max.time=max(nmc))

Computing Mean Lifetime from Hazard
...now that the average lifetime is approx. 35. ?Is there anyway that I can learn that from looking only haz? ?
Does the process for doing this differ based on whether the lifetimes are generated from a well-known distribution?
Thanks for your help,
Alan

Projecting Survival Curve into the Future
...fe way to extend the survivor curve and estimate at what time we'll hit 50%?
We started a new program 3.5 months ago, and I believe that this set of accounts behaves differently than the rest of our company's accounts.
Thanks very much,

Confidence Intervals on Hazard Plots
...that this is a common phenomenon. When I plot the two hazard rate curves, haz1 looks very different than haz2, but I'd like to see if it's different enough. ?How can I go about creating confidence intervals and plotting them?
Thanks, Alan

Add-on for sending a sequence of emails
Is there a simple gem / engine / app for sending a sequence of emails -
something like iContact or ConstantContact.
For instance, I want to send an email when someone registers on my site,
then 3 days later, then 10 days later. That''s a rather simple case - would
be nice to have some more complex workflow but this would do for now.
This would not be too difficult to implement, bu...

Inference for R Spam
Dear List,
I registered for the useR conference in Rennes today; half an hour after the
confirmation I received a first "requested newsletter" from a company selling a
product named "Inference for R".
This coincidence might be spurious. Or not, depending on frequency.
