Could someone kick the build process, please?
2.4.2-2 is the latest "Debian testing" there.

Cannot update xiph repository
Hi,
I apologise for the naiveness of this question, but I experienced an error when running apt-get update on Debian 9.
It’s telling me that it can’t update the xiph repository.
Not sure if I should be asking for help about this here, but if not… please let me know where I should take this issue.
Any help is appreciated.

Please use these packages
https://wiki.xiph.org/Icecast_Server/Installing_latest_version_(official_Xiph_repositories)
or rebuild the Debian package but with the openssl -dev package present
on your machine.

Yes there is:
https://wiki.xiph.org/Icecast_Server/YP-protocol-v2#Old_protocol_-_factual_characteristics
Note that we plan to implement a new protocol. Yet the old one will be
supported for at least a few more years in Icecast.
I hope that link helps the two of you,

To get the most recent updates you sadly need to install Icecast from
source on your own. Please see:

* https://wiki.xiph.org/Icecast_Server/Git_workflow

I only had a quick look at that link. I think it is better than most but
it has some oddities. I would generally recommend to have a look at:
https://wiki.xiph.org/Icecast_Server/Installing_latest_version_(official_Xiph_repositories)
If you *really* want to build your own Icecast:
https://wiki.xiph.org/Icecast_Server/Git_workflow
However those two are "just" the install part, not the setup part.

Cannot update xiph repository
Hi Damian
The main reason for this issue is the expired Multimedia signing key expired for openSUSE OBS Multimedia – aka xiph repository. The documentation has not been updated as mentioned in Step 2 : https://wiki.xiph.org/index.php?title=Icecast_Server/Installing_latest_version_(official_Xiph_repositories) <https://wiki.xiph.org/index.php?title=Icecast_Server/Installing_latest_version_(official_Xiph_repositories)&mobileaction=toggle_view_desktop> &mobileaction=toggle_view_desktop (btw. You didn't do anything wrong as such. You just didn't know that there
are additional steps if you need TLS support.
The official Xiph.org packages are built with openSSL support:
https://wiki.xiph.org/Icecast_Server/Installing_latest_version_(official_Xiph_repositories)
$ curl
https://download.opensuse.org/repositories/multimedia:/xiph/xUbuntu_16.04/Release.key
>/tmp/multimedia-obs.key
$ gpg /tmp/multimedia-obs.key
It should yield:

Module support
We added a basic module support to Icecast. Currently there is
no public module that uses it, yet. Yet it will allow future
development of optional components.
Got curious?
Feel free to try it yourself:

Icecast chrooted and ssl
Hi all,
I have been struggling to setup icecast with ssl on port 443.
I am running Debian Wheezy and installed icecast by downloading the source
and compiling.
This went all ok, including ssl support.
When running ssl on a port >1024 and not chrooting ssl works fine, so the
certificate is ok.
But when enabling chroot everything works but ssl.
Any ideas ?
TIA! Paul
