ahuh error 32
hi, I realised after sending the last mail that 'error 32' seems to be the server dropping a client upon a client request to disconnect. So its not really an 'error'. Has anyone anyone any experience with Iceast2 and Ogg? I have a stream encoded from the Oddcast encoder, sending to Icecast2 compiled from the CVS. It works fine with encoding and recieving. I had quite a large server load for sometime so I increased the threads on the server to 15. However I am really having problems with the server droppin...

icecast1 and compilation on RH9
I know that icecast-1.3.12 is deprecated and for a good reason. I wanted to test it out on my Red Hat 9 box today. I found that it would not compile. Has anyone else seen this? What I wanted to try was testing streaming MP3 audio and relaying encoded icecast audio from one machine to another again. Is there an easy way to accomplish relaying from one machine to another using icecast2. I have

icecast2 is a broadcast server and will broadcast both ogg vorbis and mp3 streams. This assumes that you have a source client which can produce an ogg vorbis and mp3 stream and send it TO an icecast2 server. With mp3 streams, shoutcast mp3 metadata is supported, however you cannot use the shoutcast DSP as a source stream to an icecast2 server. Current clients that we know about that can

Icecast2 and TiVo
...s that data and sends it to an Icecast2 server (I installed from the nightly snapshop on 8-16-2003). Additionally, I wrote some PHP that runs a command line tuner and changes the station based on the "playlist" you pick. Now I can get local radio on my TiVo :). When I connect to the Iceast2 stream with Winamp, all is well. It works perfectly. However, when I connect to it with the TiVo, I get a different response. The TiVo "play" icon flashes back and forth from Green to Yellow rapidly. This never stops. I thought this might of had something to do with how the stream...
