Are there any XML databinding frameworks available for Ruby / Rails, such as Castor or JaXB for Java? Also are there framework such as Apache Axis for WebServices for Rails or Ruby? Input/output error on linux
...n Rails or Mongrel? I''ve appended a recent stack trace. Don''t read anything into the rhtml where it failed, it happens with the simplest <%= @var -%> you can imagine. This trace might not be the best example, but it is the one I''ve got. Character Encoding
...gh the encoding is lost and garbage appears on the string. I suppose this could also be a double encoding, but personally, I can''t tell the difference by looking :-) Is there something I have to do that''s different when producing UTF8 html in Mongrel? How to proceed with incorporating Ferret?
...than a waste of time. Am I missing something. The fourth question: in a message from August 23 there was a hint of a write-up discussing the new API. Did this ever get published? I think there is some *very* nice work here. I''m looking forward to using Ferret. Clarification of how controllers and views work together...
...different but doesn''t change. Sounds like some kind of cache. Now, I''m thinking I''m either out of luck, or there is a trivial thing I have to do to loosen the view''s grip on that copy of @data that it has. Any help is appreciated. in_place_editor change request...
...he in_place_editor method? script.aculo.us supports the ''savingText'' option to control the text displayed while saving after an in-line edit. Having the ability to change this is necessary for the localisation of a Rails app that uses in-line editing. Mongrel hangs, consumes all CPU on shutdown
Hi, I''m doing development with Mongrel 1.0.1 on Ruby 1.8.4 / OS X 10.4.10, and I''ve found that often when I shut down my server with ^C, it hangs for a while, gobbling up all CPU. Sometimes it stops after a few seconds, sometimes it''s run for several minutes at least. This happens across all the apps I develop on, but it seems to hang longer after

OT: Radrails
Sorry, but I have tried signing up for the RadRails list and never can get a confirmation email. I think it may not exist. Anyway, I created a project using just cli, now I''m trying to import the project with no success. I choose the directory and radrails just sits there not enabling the okay button Sound familiar ? Maybe I''m doing something wrong. Stuart

Intermittent "can''t convert Float into Hash" and results.rb
Hi, I''m using backgroundrb 0.2.1 in a production environment and for most parts I''m very happy. We are using it to do some heavy video editing on the server side and it works great except that under, what seems heavy load the below problem happens intermittently. The problem has only happened 5 times out of over 500 runs by our backgroundrb worker. This is the code in our

Clustering Large Applications..sort of
Hello all, I am using the clustering functions in R in order to work with large masses of binary time series data, however the clustering functions do not seem able to fit this size of practical problem. Library 'hclust' is good (though it may be sub par for this size of problem, thus doubly poor for this application) in that I do not want to make assumptions about the number of
