NT server connection
...) with the tar
file being created on the NT share. Then NT could routinely back up those tar
files to the tape. I thought about just creating the tar files on the sun and
then writing a script to ftp them over to the NT box, but there is not enough
file space on the sun to do this.

nmblookup
Newbie question. If I type nmblookup __some other machine__ I get the
correct response from Samba. If I type nmblookup __mymachine__ then I get an
error yhat it is not found. So if nmbd is not setup right, how do I fix it?

Typical R installation problem

So, do you have any suggestions about how to get around this problem. I don't
know what else to do to make these routines available to the R install.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I had no problem installing R on my MAC
OS 10.1.5.
Thank you very much,

Red Hat 8 SAMBA docs esp. those for SAMBA since this a SAMBA list
...p=workgroup //service
/mountpoint
smbclinet
and some text config files like smb.conf that need lots of tweaking to get
them right.
I have not gotten it working yet, but my error messages do change which
means I am at least making significant changes.
