G729 codec for asterisk
...license from digium. Is this correct? I've seen that licenses are purchased on a per-channel basis. Could we make some sort of agreement on having a no-limit channel license? Even, we would like to have the possibility of installing it on how many machines we wish to do. I am really in a hurry here. Please answer as soon as possible. Pablo Salinas R&D - CONEXION S.A. LLD default page size for arm32
...just worked on this device. I put the question in the discord lld channel and after a bit back and forth I think it's better to discuss it here. Is 4k the right default for lld on Arm32? Does anyone know if there is a strong reason to not change this? Since we have a workaround I am not in a hurry to change this - but if nothing else I hope this email will help someone else finding the solution to the problem I had. Centos 8 Mate?
...hub.com/dcantrell/cderpm if you're interested), I find it difficult to believe that a widely used and mature desktop like Mate will just disappear on a widely used and mature Linux distribution like Centos. And since I've been using Centos for everything for a lot of years I'm not in a hurry to change to something else if I can avoid it. > Providing and maintaining > alternative desktop environments over the (long) life cycle of CentOS 8 > will require a?sustained effort by volunteers over many years. Bypassing 'A stop job is running' when rebooting CentOS 7
...6), but it is 'stuck' while shutting down with 'A stop job is running for ...' - the counter initially gave a limit of '1min 30s' - but each time it reaches that limit, it just adds on ~90 seconds to the limit ... Currently the limit is '25min 33s' I'm in no hurry to have this workstation operational, but I guess at some point I will have to power cycle it ... Does anyone know how to bypass this? - or at least stop it increasing the limit each time it is reached? It does seems rather pointless to keep increasing the limit like this ... Thanks James Pea...

samba-3.0.9-1.3E.2
I wouldn't normally hurry you guys about a package release, (because you're doing an excellent job), but any eta on the above? samba-3.0.9-1.3E.1 is in the current repos and that install seriously fubar'd my ADS + winbind setup. samba-3.0.9-1.3E.2 (which requires krb5-libs-1.2.7-31) fixes the problem. Is anyone keeping up with the versions?
We are still using 1.4 and were going to start testing with 1.6.0, but then 1.6.1 was released and now 1.6.2 is already in beta 2. That seems like a lot of independent releases to maintain. I read about all the regressions ans hurried dot releases, makes us nervous. How is everyone doing their testing? -Matt -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL:

Doing fsck on shutdown
I usually shutdown computer for night (could probaly use software shutdown, but have not yet studied it). In that case, the disk is checked quite often with default settings, usually in those cases I am in hurry and want computer to start up fast :-). One alternative would be trying to run fsck at shutdown if fsck is due in a few mounts. One could abort that if one wants computer to shutdown fast, but in normal case one could just allow it and then computer would later shut ifself down. Has anyone desig...

openssh-4.3p2: setsockopt() problem
...My java ssh client was also working. After some investigation, I noticed that the hang was after the system call: setsockopt(3, SOL_IP, IP_TOS, [16], 4) = 0 I noticed also that telnet was hanging the same way. I commented all the setsockopt() calls out of the ssh client code (because I was in a hurry) and now it works. Anyway, I figured I should document the problem somewhere. -Ken _______________________________________________ openssh-unix-dev mailing list openssh-unix-dev at mindrot.org http://lists.mindrot.org/mailman/listinfo/openssh-unix-dev

where to send patches to R source code
...ll have time to verify that the patches work correctly. They are basically Chet-approved workarounds for bugs/changes in Readline, not very complicated. Do either of you know a Linux R person you could ping to get these patches checked out? I'm not overly frustrated, and I'm not in a major hurry, but from what we've observed it seems like waiting for someone concerned to come along and finally read Bugzilla or the R-Devel archives is not going to result in a very dense Poisson process... I couldn't figure out how to get anaconda to build a LVM root on a mirror, so I ended up just installing a /boot and vg_system on sda and raid it later. every howto I find for linux says to half-raid the OTHER disk, COPY everything to it, then bo...
