Interesting problem
A friend's machine just had his / partition goto zero percent free. This is an ext3 partition. Not an hour ago he had over 5 gigs free on an 8 gig partition. Any ideas where to look? The logs don't show anything unusual. -- My "Foundation" verse: Isa 54:17 No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment

ActiveRecord saving madness?
Hello, First of all, I love RoR. I am studying it, and I am finally "getting there". However, I do have a bit of a problem with ActiveRecord''s saving behaviour. Imagine to have Orders (id, name) {has_one:invoice} and Invoices (id, order_id) {belongs_to :order} . If you type: invoice = Invoice.new(...whatever...) an_order.invoice = invoice if invoice fails to save, you

Another Fedora decision
...approach to disable that access instead? But wait! Is it not true that the network services are not started by default? So, exactly where is the threat? Does it not occur much, much later in the workflow than at the installer? Would it not be more sensible to require root access to start sshd (hummmm. . . is that not a requirement now?) and to ask for the root password at that time. And then of course, you could catch those sneaky people that change the root password after the install is complete. Surly, it is when starting network services that then, and only then, one should check that one...

Asterisk on Ben NanoNote?
Hello I just read an article on the tiny Ben NanoNote: http://en.qi-hardware.com/wiki/Ben_NanoNote As CPU, it uses a "JZ4720 366 MHz MIPS compatible processor from Ingenic Semiconductor Co", and it runs Linux. Does someone know if Asterisk has been ported to that platform? Thank you.

TE11OP -> Mitel 200Sx??
Hello all. I just received a TE110P and am trying to hook it to my Mitel 200SX has anyone successfully done this? My configuration is as follows. Asterisk -> TE110P ->Kentrox (csu/dsu) -> Mitel T1 Card. All I get is a blinking yellow on my TE110P card and an alarm on my Mitel. T1 card. Any advice would be great. A question on rules simplification
[newbie question] Before using Shorewall I used to manually write some very short iptables rules which where probably much poorer than what this Shorewall gem does but I could "follow" them very easily. Now reading the output of iptable -L gives me a terrible headache. Is there some tool that graphs the rules in order to "see" them better ? For instance I was experiencing

Xen C6 kernel 4.9.13 and testing 4.9.15 only reboots.
Good news/bad news testing the new kernel on CentOS7 with my now notoriously finicky machines: Good news: 4.9.23-26.el7 (grabbed today via yum update) isn't any worse than 4.9.13-22 was on my xen hosts (as far as I can tell so far at least) Bad news: It isn't any better than 4.9.13 was for me either, if I don't set vcpu limit in the grub/xen config, it still panics like so: [
