Joining a SAMBA 4 TP4 Active Directory with WinXP
...nistrator and the passwort as set with "./setup/provision" but it doesn't
work. I simply get unknown username or wrong password.
NOTE: I have an german WinXP and I'am not sure what the right username for
joining the domain would be. I even tried "root" as usernam, but htat didn't
work either.
Is it possible to join the Domain "LEOSENDE.FUN"?
What do I have to do to join the domain?
Kind regards,
Leonhard.

multiple comparisons of time series data
...e within the model. In a previous
study, the Kolmogorov-Smirnov k-sample test was used to compare multiple time
series'.
I am unsure about the strength of the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test and I have set
out to determine if there are any other tests to compare multiple time
series'.
I know htat R has the ks.test but I am unsure how this test handles multiple
comparisons. Is there something similar to a pairwise.t.test with a
bonferroni corection, only with time series data?
Does R currently (v 2.3.0) have a comparison test that takes into account the
strong serial correlation of time...

compile samba 4.10.2 centos 7.6
Hi Gabriel,
I've compiled Samba 4.10.2 on CentOS 7 successfully. I've read the wiki
that 4.10.2 version is full compatible with python 3, specifically python
3.4. Then I've install, use the yum command, the package python34-devel and
I've added an environment variable at /etc/profile with export
PYTHON=python3.4.
Thus, I've run ./configure, make and make install with no

H323 in Asterisk
Out of the box it is not supported exactly. You do have to compile
openh-323 and then there is a openh323-driver for asterisk that must be
compiled. I have the steps at work and if you need any more help let me
know. If you read the Readme files in the tarballs you will see how to
do it. I know htat sounds like a blow off or a rtfm but really this is
how I got it working with some help from the irc channel. They pointed
me in the right direction.

sangoma asterisk patches
Hi folks
I've tried asking this in private mail for quite some time, but sadly
got no reply. So I end up needing to raise the question here.
Sangoma's s setup process includes a small patch to Zaptel. I have some
technical reservations with htat patch. It seems that under certain
circumstances it may cause exexpected behaviour when used with other
Zaptel channel drivers. I also don't understand why a safer method is
not used.
To be more specific:
The patch defines a number of ioctl numbers in the range of 60-65 in
zaptel.h . This is...

problems with 1.2.3 and World of Warcraft
i had wow working in a windows directory, i coped it to a linux partition and when i go to use the Repair.exe program htat comes with it, it starts, begins to do a repair then exits saying it does not have write permision for that directory, yet everything in that directory is still (a+rwx) since i copied it from a fat32 partition. also whatever files it had tried to use are now marked as (a-rwx, g+rwx). this happened...

about taylor.diagram
Hi R users,
I don't know if you have used taylor.diagram function. Why my diagram is
not like 1/4th of a round shape, but more flat, like 1/4th of an oval?
Thanks.

compile samba 4.10.2 centos 7.6
....
You have just diverged your local system for all users, including the
root user, so far from the upstream RHEL standard that you may find it
very difficult to recover if something entirely unrelated to Samba
breaks. You've turned a stack of default python2.7 tools into using
python3.4, tools htat have nothing to do with Samba. I do *not*
recommend this. If you need to do this kind of step, I'd urge you to
do it in the build environment just for building Samba, not for
general use. It's as dangerous as doing "sudo pip install anything",
and it can really break working softw...

locating element in distance matrix
Dear useRs,
I have a very basic question. I have a distance matrix and i skipped the upper part of it deliberately. The distance matrix is 1000*1000. Then i used "min" command to extract the lowest value from that matrix. Now i want to know what is the location of that lowest element? More precisely, the row and column number of that lowest element.
Thanks in advance

CentOS8 and crypto-policies
Hi,
I started playing with CentOS8 and I am trying to set default crypto
policies for openssh server/client. In CentOS7 I followed the guide
from https://infosec.mozilla.org/guidelines/openssh.html and set
KexAlgorithms /Ciphers/MACs in sshd_config.
In CentOS8 I can edit
/usr/share/crypto-policies/$POLICY/opensshserver.txt for the sshd
arguments, but editing openssh.txt or even changing default

Replace array with percentile values
Hi:
I have an array of measurements, that I've been doing linear
regression model and AI models on. Because there are many errors and
the values are "ill-formed" I would like to copy the array, but
replace each value with the PERCENTILE of that value, in the original
array.
i.e.
mesments$V1: 9, 77, -1
would become: mesmentsCopy$V1: 50, 100, 0
The actual array has many more

Using predicted() in R
Dear all,
I am a R user since about 3 weeks now and still struggeling with things that
must be very
easy for you...
This week I am struggling with the function predict()
I want to use this function to get a 95% interval.
I understand that you have to use it in such a way as:
lm_examplemodel<- lm(y~x1 + x2 + x3)
newdata <- data.frame(x1 = ???, x2 = ???, x3 = ???)

Problem reading dates from Excel
I'm using the read.xls function from gdata package to read one Excel file,
like the example below:
library(gdata)
my_file <- '/Users/Desktop/Project.xlsx'
valores <- read.xls(my_file)
The problem is: one of the columns at the Excel file holds date information
like 1-Jan-13, 5-Jan-13, 25-Jan-13. At Excel these information are treated
as dates. When I read the file into a

Slow boot when no serial pty connected
Hi everyone!
It's the first time I send a message to this list, I hope it's not the last :)
So my issue is that when booting a disk image generated with virt-builder [1]
it takes more than 5 minutes, waiting in the boot screen that says:
"
Booting from disk...
press any key to continue.
"
The press any key message shows up to 5 times. The issue is that it stays in
that screen
