Serverworks HT1000 chipset drivers (Supermicro H8SSL motherboard)
Anyone using boards with this chipset? I've gotten some dual core single cpu boxes along with the physical dual cpu boxes I just received and they're using the Serverworks HT1000 (Broadcom 5785) chipset. My CentOS 4.2 DVD doesn't want to recognize the chipset so I can't see any of the SATA drives in the integrated SATA ports. Drives on 3Ware cards work as expected, but I was hoping to also make use of the integrated SATA ports. I'm downloading 4.3 via bit...

[FreeBSD] Fix for ServerWorks HT1000 in upcoming 7.1?
Hi, I have a server (Dell PowerEdge SC1435, ServerWorks HT1000) on which I'd like to try installing FreeBSD. I've already failed to make 7.0 work on this box and was wondering if you have information about the behavior of the upcoming 7.1 on this hardware. I've been following the "HT1000 chipset errata saga" thread, and the commits by so...

tg3: eth0: No interrupt was generated using MSI, switching to INTx mode.
...his? What does it mean and who am I supposed to contact? Sorry if this is a stupid question, but a simple pointer would be appreciated. Apart from this message the system runs fine. Hardware Information: Server: Supermicro 816S-R700 Motherboard: Supermicro H8DSP-8 Chipset: ServerWorks HT2000 / HT1000 Processors: 2 x Opteron Dualcore 2.2 GHz RAM: 4 GB Ethernet is of course on the mainboard. I have already upgraded the tg3 driver with the latest version from Broadcom, but the line in dmesg still appears. regards, Andreas Micklei

athlon64/opteron 8GB per CPU
I'm putting together a spec for a big(ger) memory x86_64 host, and I hope some of you-all can help. I'm looking for success stories of hardware that folks are using in production environments, preferably with CentOS 4, with more than 4GB of memory per CPU. I know there are lots of mobos out there that can do this, but I'm looking for what folks really have running. Call me

VT-d "partial" success - passing DVB-S tuner to Windows DomU (based off previous thread of similar name!)
Hi All, So I''ve got a DVB-S PCI Express card ($30 USD Twinhan AD-SE200 off eBay) that''s being passed via VT-d/pciback in Xen 3.2.1 under CentOS 5.2 to a Windows XP SP3 which works! ... except for one small issue... Motherboard is an Intel DQ35JO that much people has had success with and an Intel E8400 CPU. The issue is that when dealing with FTA MPEG-2 transport streams (DVB-S
