Trouble adding HPLJ 4050 drivers...
Hello... I am using SAMBA 2.2.8 on RH Advanced Server (compiled from source). I can't seem to get the HP LJ 4050 printer drivers loaded from a windows workstation. I am using the print$ share and have shared the printer in my smb.conf. I can print fine from linux. When choosing 'add new driver' under the 'Printers' folder on the SMB share, I choose the proper

Printers: Fedora + WinXPHome
I have a network with 1 Linux box (host), 2 Win98 machines, and 1 WinXPHome machine. There is a Deskjet attached to the Linux box, and an HPLJ Postscript attached to one of the PCs. Until recently I was running RH7.1 with Samba 2.x and all computers could print to both printers (which, obviously, were shared). I have recently rebuilt the LInux box, and in the process installed Fedora, with Samba 3. Without any changes to the Win98 boxe...

HP Deskjet 1000c
Howdy all - I have Samba 2.0.3 running like a champ on a dual PPro 200, 128 MB RAM, running Slackware 3.6, kernel 2.2.5. Running like a champ as far as file sharing is concerned, that is. I have an HP Deskjet 1000c hanging off the parallel port. I set up a raw printer in /etc/printcap, the line looks like this: dj1000|DeskJet 1000c:sh:lp=/dev/lp0:sd=/var/spool/lpd/dj1000 the printing section

IP printing to Jetdirect boxes
All, Hey hey, am new so if this is way basic, flame on. ;-) I have a Dell Poweredge 2300 running RedHat 6.0 and whatever versions of samba and such that are part of that distribution. Samb 'works' from the standpoint of file sharing and printing in a sense. The issue is that the printer is an HP Laserjet 4 connected via an external HP Jetdirect box running IP. The only connection to
