I'm now getting a windows error from explorer.exe, i've checked all the windows system, application, and security logs and of course the error is not in them. I have searched around the samba documentation, including the smb.conf man page, and have found nothing regarding the cups printing system except change printcap to cups. ...to this printer for years it seems. Recently, printing from Firefox would hang in the print que, but other prints would go behind the hung job. Deleting the hung print job would not seem to change the que until I rebooted. Now I have an OpenOffice job stuck as well. I am using the recommended hpijs device driver. Any ideas what may be wrong here? I am going to have to email this spreadsheet over to my XP system and print from there. How embarrassing.

...d a Fedora 5 system that had been working well, and is still able to print pdf and tif files withing the same network. I have other Centos 5.6 gateway's at different facilities that print the pdf and tif files without a problem. All of these 5.6 systems have been updated without a problem. hpijs-1.6.7-6.el5_6.1.x86_64 has already been installed. I am at a loss in trying to see the difference between my 5.6 machines and would appreciate some advice as to where to look. Thanks much for your help. Greg Ennis
