I don't know much about your HP3100, but I have two sites both of which
allow users to print from Linux systems to HP printers (HPLJ6 and
HPDJ540)on W95 machines using ghostscript (I set this up by installing
apsfilter then editing the apsfilter interface scripts to use smbclient. In
fact I can print successfully from the W95 system...
