Possible samba options:

Backup PC or other solution
I list,
I'm new with backup ops and I'm searching a good system to accomplish this
work. I know that on centos there are bacula and amanda but they are too
tape oriented. Another is that they are very powerfull but more complex. I
need a solution for small office for disk storage and I found Backup PC.
Many people say that it is great for small stuff and for great number of
data.

BackupPC is good, howewer it's a pity you can't search for a file in
GUI. But it works well, i'm backing up 32 hosts (servers, desktops).
Can somebody tell me why it's not available for CentOS7?

equivalent function to MatLab 'step' ?
I have to admit I don't fully understand how MatLab's step() function
works, but I'm learning that part. Can someone point me to

[Wins on NT server] Ping/ssh a smb client with Linux client
Hello world !
I have a Debian client in a NT server domain and try to configure it.
Other computers in the NT domain can view me and ping me by my hostname.
Howewer i can't resolve the wins name of the other client on the domain.
Here is the global section of my smb.conf.
I would like to ping and ssh other computers by their hostname. Haved i forgot
something ?

Strange problem with HTB
...l e1000 nics - eth1 is
connected to lan and has private ip, eth0 is connected to our isp and
has public ip (so there''s nat on eth0). There is practically same htb
configuration on both interfaces, only the filters are different. On
eth1, packets are classified by their destination address, howewer this
does not work on eth0, because packets are already natted when they
reach scheduling subsystem -- so their source ip is copied into fwmark
by "IPMARK" iptables rule and classified according to this mark. Every

LDAP schema ?
Hi,
I am trying to determine the correct LDAP schema I need to use to have either
mailLocation or mailboxPath available ?
Should I be just adding this to one of my own custom objectClasses ?

Bug#496367: The possibility of attack with the help of symlinks in some Debian packages

Even if you make rm(dir) for files/directories, then your system is
not protected. Attacker can permanently create symlinks.
