suggestion for HOWTO: bonding multiple NICs
a student in my RHEL admin class this week specifically asked how to
use multiple NICs to add fault tolerance. a good question, i thought.
perhaps adding a short HOWTO on that wouldn't be out of line,
something like this:
http://www.how2centos.com/how-to-set-up-network-bonding-with-centos-5x/
i could even add that as a lab for future classes, where i simply
add two USB network adapters to the student's machine and make it an
exercise to set up bonding across them. just a thought.

Centos 6 ASSP ( anti-spam-smtp-proxy)
Need an anti-spam proxy and looking at options, was wondering if anyone is
using ASSP with Centos 6 and if so does anyone have any goo How-to links
they have...I have managed to find this one -
http://www.how2centos.com/fight-spam-with-assp-anti-spam-smtp-proxy-on-centos-5-4/
Probably most still applies to 6, but maybe thinking with the newer
versions of things I could stay in the standard repos...Thanks.

4 GBit nic bonding new centos 6.3 system with cisco VSS switches - suggestions?
Hi,
I install a new 4 Port GBit Server with centos 6.3 and I'd like to use
nic bonding.
Searching for a good how to pinted to this page:
http://www.how2centos.com/centos-6-channel-bonding/
My question: Is this the current, good way to bond the 4 ports?
The other question: What should I set on the cisco switch for the
Port-channel options?
As far as I understand for performance and redundancy I will use LACP
and balance-alb.
The switches are 6500 VSS...
