Does anyone know a good Dovecot hoster in europe?
Hi, though I am not sure this is the right place to ask, but I just try. I am looking for a better e-mail hoster providing me with a dovecot server (I don't want to do all the admin stuff and backup myself, if possible). I already googled a bit, searched the archives and had a look at dovecot.org but could not find an answer to this question. Since dovecot seems to get a fair amount of

shared hostings: how to compare/evaluate them (aka: "Rails needs a index")
...and measure various areas of Rails, and publish the results interactively or send them to a repository where they would be accumulated. We would just have to install one instance at each hoster (or better, each server). If the community''s pressure is sufficient, we could even have the hosters do this on a voluntary basis. It would benefit the good ones, as they could publish their ''Rails Index'' on the plans ad pages. Rails is right on many points where mature platforms are still struggling - deployment - testing - plugins - upgrades - simplicity this...

mac spoofing
Hi, I have the following Problem: My Rootserver stands at a hoster, I run a debian sarge and installed Xen 3 there latetly. I booted the xen Kernel - everything ok. However: when I started xend, the server instantly stopped responding. My Hosters Support said, that was due to a sort of mac spoofing protection in the switch, which disabled the Port, to which my server is connected, because there arrived an unknown Mac Address from my Server at the switchport. ( btw: at that point, I had not configured any domU''s ) >From the Xe...

Measuring hosting performance: shared <--> vps <--> dedicated
...ice has to be right. * dedicated servers start at 99$/m (Dreamhost, ..), and shared hosting go up to 47$/m (PlanetArgon) or 60$/m (TextDrive) * Railsplayground: 2$/m * TextDrive dedicated servers : 1000$/m Is there an objective way/tool to measure, test and compare the performance of the hosters? Shared Hosting Rails Sites ?
I can''t decide between a2hosting.com, successfulhosting.com, site5.com (which offers 11gb of disk space for $8.77/month -- I''ll never use it), planetargon.com (which offers 1 gb for $11/month), or railsplayground.com (which offers a gigabyte practically for free).
