arp problem in /var/log/messages
hi all, i got flooded by these msgs like 1000+ lines, any idea?
my kernel is dated Nov-30 FreeBSD 4.9-stable
# tail -f /var/log/messages

weird problem with chkrootkit and checksums
Hello,
last night, my chkrootkit crontab returned an alarm message :
> Checking `lkm'... You have 1 process hidden for readdir command
> You have 2 process hidden for ps command
> Warning: Possible LKM Trojan installed
Some research on google make me think it's probably a false positive. I
tried few things :
re-launching chkrootkit : "Checking `lkm'...

fontconfig-2.1.93 considered more harmful
...even depends on XFree86-4-libraries
which depends on fontconfig.)
As shown, all the circles that relate to fontconfig are introduced on 2.1.93.
Again note that {fontconfig} is one of the minimal cutsets.
Now complaints are understood.
2.1.93 is, at least for me, more harmful than the previous.

cvsup with tag=. on src and upgrading (in general)
I'm just getting into regular use with cvsup (way over do on that one),
and I tried to specify a tag=. in the cvsup file. Here's the file:
# This file specifies src files are to be uploaded.
*default host=cvsup2.FreeBSD.org
# *default tag=RELENG_5_1_0_RELEASE
*default tag=.
*default prefix=/usr
*default release=cvs delete use-rel-suffix compress
*default base=/usr/local/etc/cvsup
