So, it is that time of the year again, folks, when flowers bloom and code
gets ripe for picking a new release snapshot -- so everybody is welcome to
give it a round during the weekend. After too many hopeful deadlines
missed, I hope to at least not exceed a year since the last release
snapshot :)

hoping to reschedule SIG meetings to Tuesdays 1500 UTC
I can't make it to the current schedule for alternate Tuesday 1400 UTC meetings.
I was hoping we could reschedule it to 1500 UTC on the same Tuesdays instead, or
any other slot which could work for all.
What do other members think?

fallthrough extension.
Hi all,
I'm trying to sort out my dial plan.
What I'm wanting is something like the following - a bit simplified but
hopefully you'll get the idea.
1) match internal extensions: dial them
2) anything else: send out zap
1 is easy :) it's 2 that's giving me problems.
I had hoped that the 'i' extension would act as a catchall extension but it
seems to only do that from a menu. I've tried matchin...

...et-up NetBSD build agent for the NUT CI farm, as Greg-inspired warnings
exposed by the stricter platform kept popping up and biting. Led to some
discoveries in toolkits and standards I thought I knew for decades, too. So
it was a tad bit annoying, but good overall :)
But now we are a day over the hopeful "not more than a year" since the last

converge to let the release be cut.
Has any other platform got last-minute changes to tackle? Plan 9 maybe? :)

questions on local customized R distribution CD
Hello all!
I hope this is the right place to post this question.
The Oregon Chapter of ASA is working with local high school teachers as one of its outreaching program.
We hope to use and test R as teaching tools.
So, we think that a menu system (like R commander) with a few packages and a bit simplified ins...

any hope for bug 1663 or similar function?
Hi folks,
Is there any hope for an external source of public keys, such as given
in bug 1663?
I have dozens of servers, and I have to patch sshd on the vast
majority of them. OpenSSH is a BSD program, but the BSD boxes are the
most difficult to manage because of this.
Thanks,

[6.0.0 Release] Release Candidate 3 tagged
Dear testers,
6.0.0-rc3 was just tagged, after r325901 on the branch.
There are still a few open blockers, but I'm not sure we'll actually
end up blocking on all of them. So depending on what comes up, this
release candidate is probably pretty close to what the final release
will look like (I'm still hoping for more release notes, though).
I'm hoping we can get to

Xen watchdog patch disposition?
Jeremy,
while originally I had hoped this patch, sitting in xen/next, would get
pushed for .37, that didn''t happen and now the .38 merge window
was missed too. Trying to get this to Linux on my own seems
inappropriate, so can I hope that you will include this with whatever
other changes you intend to push for .39?
Thanks, J...

More than two font in a plot
Hi there,
I am a Chinese R user. I hope to display Chinese character in a plot,
and than save it in PostScript format. I have read the article titled
"Non-Standard Fonts in PostScript and PDF Graphics", especially the
section about CJK fonts. I also tried the code:
> pdf("chinese.pdf", width=3, height=1)

If...while...or what else??
Dear R users,I come to you with a quite silly question I think, but I hope
you can answer me...
That is, I've got some problems in using the if and while conditions in a
loop.
Substantially, I want to select rows in a dataset depending on an index
variable (suppose it ranges from 1 to 5), so to make a specific analysis
(homemade of course) on thie new dataset. Mi firs...

Profiling WINE (Game)
...iversalis III), there's just one problem: when you click a province to open the dialog, there is a noticeable delay. Since it's a specific problem to diagnose, I'm hoping it'll be as simple as running a profiler to see which WINE function(s) the game calls to complete this task, and hopefully fix the problem function.
Am I badly deluded? I know I can't probably profile the game itself, but I'm hoping I can profile the WINE calls it makes.
If i'm not deluded, how would I go about this? Are there instructions someplace?

Summarizing levels for future commands
Hi. This will hopefully be readily understood but if not, bear with me.
I have to do a repeated analysis (in spatstat) and want to batch file it. For each of my 'runs' certain variables change. At present I am manually specifying these changes and want to automate it if possible.
Ok, I am creating an obje...

Friendly Reminder: Would you please comment on my findings?
Hello Jeremy,
welcome back - I hope you had a great vacation :-) - and I indeed took
summertime and this possibility into account in my previous mail two
weeks ago, so I hope I was not too impatient...
Anyway, I'm happy that you're back and hope that - well relaxed and
burning for action ;-) - you will be able to find som...

[cfe-dev] [Github] RFC: linear history vs merge commits
...w contributors. This has all sorts of implications we need to discuss
> of course, but we have some time to do that.
My personal opinion is an opposite of that one.
*Does* LLVM want to switch from phabricator to github pr's?
I personally don't recall previous discussions.
Personally, i hope not, i hope phabricator should/will stay.
Low bar for entry is good, but not at the cost of raising the bar
for the existing development community.
In particular, i'm saying that github's ui/workflow/feature set
is inferior to that one of phabricator.
Is the low entry bar the only benefit...

analog call progress - simplified I hope
Asterisk gurus,
To have analog call progress (which as far as I know asterisk does not
have right now)
does it not come down to 4 states to detect - and I hope that some
asterisk gurus can
implement those 4 states easily.
I see this as 4 states:
Busy - a 50% duty cycle
Ringing - a % on duty and MORE of a bigger % off duty cycle - or
basically not BUSY and not TALK detect
Talk - something that is not at a 50% duty cycle and periodic in nature.
no data...

NUT testing for v2.8.3 (hopefully imminent)
Sorry, that was one mishap layered onto another - the "v2.8.3-rc1" tag was
supposed to point to the same commit as what I originally hoped was
"v2.8.3"... but did not - instead initially pointed to what would land to
`master` among its fixes for a cleaner release. Hopefully tags are
correctly refined on GitHub repo now, at least.
