OneNote2007 and Wine
Hi I am sorry if I am repeating what has already been asked but I've looked through what seemed to be relevent and got lost after about one sentence! I have just bought and Acer One running Linpus Linux Lite which is the first time I have used a Linux based PC. I really would like it to run OneNote2007. So in the last 7 hours I've learnt loads of stuff but still haven't managed

Graphical text error in game (MI5)
Hi, have recently bought MI5 (Tales of Monkey Island), and I am currently trying to run it under wine in Ubuntu 9.04 and I am running the latest development version 1.1.25. I am running this over the latest stable version due to less graphical errors when trying to run the game. To get the game running I followed this guide posted on the telltale's ( the creators of the game) forum >

Usage of '--domain-guid' parameter of 'samba-tool domain provision'
Hello, I was hoping to reprovision the same domain by specifying the domain GUID in the command line tool 'samba-tool domain provision' but I am not sure if I missed something or if there is a bug but the specified domain GUID is not the one which is created for my domain. Specifying the domain SID seems to work as I would expect. I tested it with Samba shipped by Debian 11 (samba2

new git hook to be installed
We've all wanted to be able to tweak a few server-side settings, without having to find/ask/wait for someone do something manually on the server. With this change to ovirt's "update" hook, you can now do just that by pushing a specially formed tag to the remote repository. (once this hook is installed) If that tag meets several criteria, the "update" hook will run the

[Bridge] [PATCH/RFC] Reduce call chain length in netfilter (take 2)
Hi, This is a second try to fix the long chain call lengths in netfilter. The difference with the previous patch is that I got rid of the extra argument. I somehow didn't see it could be done without using the 'int *ret2' argument. A comment on the number of arguments to nf_hook_slow: I don't think the number of arguments should be decreased. For the bridge-nf code, f.e., the

Problem with the command hooks api
I have been trying to use the command hook api in an experimental plugin I have written. The hook is registered using the command_hook_register function, and for most commands my hook functions get called once as expected. But when the client uses one of the "UID" commands (e.g. "UID FETCH" ) the hook functions are executed twice. I am using dovecot version 2.1.12. Am I

FYI, new git "update" script pushed, not yet installed
I noticed that the upstream version of our update script had evolved in git.git, so I merged their changes into ours. I haven't installed this server-side hook yet, because I don't know if your process requires moving tags. Let me know and I'll install the new version. >From 260c6c70a5b73c3ab7be705ed9da05b9c0b060fa Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Jim Meyering <meyering at

sysvolcheck on fresh samba 4.7 DCs
Hi, I joined a new samba-4.7 DC to our AD, replicated everything over, then turned off the old DCs, seized fsmo roles, and added two extra 4.7 DCs. Everything above succeeded without warnings, and everything seems to be running very well finally, except for the sysvolcheck / sysvolreset. We're on xfs, and the File System Support checks on the samba wiki page all pass, although at the

[PATCH] memdisk: "safe hook" and mBFT
Two additions to MEMDISK to support OS drivers. The "safe hook" structure ("Safe Master Boot Record INT 13h Hook Routines") is a means for an OS driver to follow a chain of INT 13h hooks, examining the hooks'' vendors and assuming responsibility for hook functionality along the way. For MEMDISK, we guarantee an additional field which holds the physical address for the
