[ISSUE] Honouring Silent Caller ID Numbers
I am not sure how this works in other countries, but in Australia -
according to Telstra - the caller id is managed by the terminating
device which is the telephone. If the caller id has been flagged as a
silent number then generally the caller id is not display, but rather
display with an alternative message 'Number Withheld' or 'Private' or
whatever.

LMTP delivery honours .forward by default?
I was under the impression that Dovecot does not look at .forward by
default, since of course, Sieve is where that kind of logic should go.
However, I'm seeing a .forward file being honoured by the LMTP delivery
agent. Is this to be expected?

Urgent help needed for honours project - breaks between races in one year
Hi to anyone who is willing to help,
I have a csv. file which has 1999 horses as the rows and the age(in years)
of the horse at each race as columns. Ive read this file into R and called
it 'horses'.
Im trying to find the longest break between each race in the horse's first
year of racing. I already have a numeric called 'age.first' which is the age
at which each horse had its

Samba not honouring write/admin lists on shares
I'm running debian testing, so samba 3.05 atm. As of a few upgrades ago,
which i think coincided with a library restructure or somewhat samba is no
longer honouring read/write/admin lists on share definitions. Using the
below share as an example, previously all users could access the share with
read access, and those in the ntadmins group had write access. Since the
upgrade users can only obtain read access. This occurs regardless or
whether a write or admi...

[Issue] Does the *-pbx cmd page honour the absolute timeout value?
I had an incident, whereby the caller didn't either hang-up their SIP
phone properly or the disconnect/hang-up information didn't properly
find their way back to the Asterisk-PBX and it left the company phone
system in intercom mode with about 90 phones overnight (624mins, CPU
utilisation was running much higher than normal until i used the

Note: "The default device has been opened to honour attempt to modify trellis settings"
R-help,
I'm using a function whose end result is a trellis plot.
When I call the function I get sometimes the following message:
"Note: The default device has been opened to honour attempt to modify
trellis settings "
leading up to any plot whatsoever.
I call the package 'lattice' within the function and 'detach' after
plotting.
I have to close the graphics

Userdb passwd and 'nologin' users
I am running Dovecot with system users (userdb passwd), but some of
those users don't have shell accounts on the IMAP server so their shell
on that machine is set to /usr/sbin/nologin. Currently I am using
maildirs and this is not a problem, but I am in the process of switching
to dbox which means I will need a cronjob running 'doveadm purge -A'.
During testing I found that those

BUG 'doveadm mailbox' list does not honour symlinks to (mbox) mailboxes
doveadm mailbox list does not honour symlinks to at least the mbox
mailboxes I relocated temporarily. You would expect it to behave similar
to the server and use the symlinks.

Group permissions not honoured by Windows clients
Hello, everybody.
I have a problem with group permissions.
On a Linux server (where I use Samba 3.0.28 under Fedora Core 8) there is the
"classical" share for home directories. And everything works just fine, as
always did, when I access my home directory from a Windows XP client.
In my home directory I have a symbolic link to another directory (that I do not
own, but for which I have

--timeout not honoured
Hi
I already wrote about this problem half a year ago but didn't get
an answer: http://lists.samba.org/archive/rsync/2009-June/023412.html
I'm using rsync 3.0.3 on a NAS. In the parameter list I use --timeout=1800.
But still I often have rsync stall much longer than that.
Some examples:
2009/12/14 23:14:35 [8707] io timeout after 11670 seconds -- exiting

srv records not being honoured properly
Given the following SRV records:
_sip._udp.tollfree.sip-happens.com. 38400 IN SRV 10 0 5060 sometimes.sip-happens.com.
_sip._udp.tollfree.sip-happens.com. 38400 IN SRV 20 0 5070 ares.sip-happens.com.
Why is asterisk (1.4.17) not honouring the priority and not failing over
to using other records when a connection fails?
For a given call to tollfree.sip-happens.com ares.sip-happens.com was
chosen and tried before sometimes.sip-happens.com and additionally, when
the connection to ares.sip-happens.com was being refused there was no
rol...
