Heroes of Might & Magic: Shadow of Death works ok with Wine with one tiny problem with me. The bottom of the screen about 10 pixel doesnt show. So i forced a resolution on wine configuration. But this time game opened 640x480 even i forced higher res. ------- Other problem is with homm3 HD http://sites.google.com/site/heroes3hd/ On windows homm3 can be forced resolution with this patch. And i have played 1920x1080 with this patch on Windows. But the same patched file doesnt work in high definition in Linux. What to do to play 1080p homm3 on linux using Wine?

What is the status of DirectPlay in wine (HOMM3 uses DirectX 6.1, if that's helpful). What is a good direction to start in, for looking at what's happening and how to fix it? Using an updated Debian 2.3 'woody' installation on a k7 box with sufficient memory, etc.

HEy, i recently bought heroes of might and magic 3. I installed ist with wine 1.3.28. The installation worked just fine and the game is running. However, as soon as i go into my stronghold and try to buy troops, my mouse dosn't work anymore. ...want to run the windows version of gameranger to run Heroes of Might and magic 3 to play online with my other friends who have pc's. I could just run it off boot camp. But I want to be able to work on other work on my OSX. So I need to find a way to access the pc version of game ranger to run HOMM3 on a pc level. However when I try to install gameranger after the log in sequence it just sits there stuck on the connecting screen. It says loggin in... and simply tries to log in forever.
