Fatal Error: Invalid HOMEDRIVE
...t was released. Yesterday morning when I tried to start Rgui.exe I got the subject error message. Since I live at the whim of the network administrators I can only assume it was a recent MS critical update. I tried installing R-1.9.0 but no joy. I created ".Renviron" with HOMEDRIVE and HOMEPATH values set appropriately (see bat file below) but this did not solve the problem either. The following did work: Create batch file MyRBat.bat ---start--- SET HOMEDRIVE=D: # for some reason "echo %HOMEDRIVE%" returns "C:" even when I set the install path to D:\{HOME}\ SET HOM...

Login to windows with samba running as domain master doesn't set HOMEPATH environment variable
I'm running samba as a domain master, Have implemented roaming profiles (correctly I hope). However, have discovered that if I use the client Windows 2K machine on the domain "Local machine" the environment variable %HOMEPATH% is set correctly to \Documents and Settings\myname however if I then login to my domain implemented by samba %HOMEPATH% is simply not defined. HOMEDRIVE and the rest seem OK, it's just HOMEPATH. Now I have searched the archives for related questions but nothing really applicable has come up t...

...xactly this path. Reading the R FAQ for Windows, it says that 'R_USER' is used as the default value for the home directory. Where/when is this set, and how? I don't set it myself. It looks like it is set equal to 'HOME' and if that is not set, the to the default %HOMEDRIVE%\%HOMEPATH%\My Documents\, e.g. M:\>set HOME= M:\>Rterm --quiet > Sys.getenv("R_USER") R_USER "C:\\Documents and Settings\\hb\\My Documents" M:\>set HOME=%HOMEDRIVE%\%HOMEPATH% M:\>Rterm --quiet > Sys.getenv("R_USER")...

setwd in windows
...riable|HOME|is set, its value is used. After those two user-controllable settings, R tries to find system-defined home directories. It first tries to use the Windows "personal" directory (typicallyC:\Users\username\Documents). If that fails, if both environment variables|HOMEDRIVE|and|HOMEPATH|are set (and they normally are), the value is${HOMEDRIVE}${HOMEPATH}. If all of these fail, the current working directory is used. sieve_extprograms - run any individual script?
...al/bin/ sieve_filter_bin_dir = /usr/local/bin/ } .dovecot.sieve example: if address "to" "test at example.com" { filter "myfilter"; } This is all working without problems. Is there a possibility to allow users the execution of individual scripts in own homepath? Some people need to pipe mails to scripts for immediately processing (some ticketsystems need this). Is there a way to make this possible with sieve? Thanks, Hajo

dsadd doesn't work correct
Hi together, I installed samba 4 on a server with Debian-Wheezy-OS. Everything seems to work fine. I can add a user with RSAT. The user is added to the AD, the profile is stored in the server-profile-path and homepath can be accessed. I have to import about 400 datasets to the AD. Therefore I want to use the commandlinetool dsadd. With this tool I can import datasets, which I can see with RSAT. The only problem is that the profile isn't stored to the profile-path and the home-path doesn't work too. I do...

RCMD fails in Windows XP
.... We are sorry for the inconvenience." Running the visual C++ debugger informs me that there is an unhandled exception in rcmd.exe. I have seen similar problems in R-help and have tried to follow the advice given, but the earlier problems occurred for Rgui.exe and were overcome by setting the HOMEPATH variable. I have tried this and set every variable possible to ensure no blank spaces appear in any of the paths. But still I get this error. Any further suggestions would be appreciated.
