perl 5.8.5-36.el4_5.2
Hi all,
Since upgrading to perl 5.8.5-36.el4_5.2 I have had no end of problems,
starting with needing compress::zlib which I got from rpmforge, then I
had to reinstall scalar::util to get mailscanner working but now I can't
install or upgrade any perl modules.
Has anyone else had problems or can someone tell me what I've done wrong
please?

OT: Powered by CentOS
Hi guys,
I was wondering if there was any powered by CentOS logo's available for
use on websites that are 'powered by CentOS'
Sorta like this mandrake one:
http://htmlfixit.com/icons/medbutton.png
Always a good idea to promote the cause so to speak and once I've
ugpraded my web server I'll be changing the icon and if there isn't a
CentOS version, I'll have a go at

can't mount any secondary drive partitions
Hi,
I have just installed centos 4.2 on machine remotely and everything went
well, a second drive was installed, I partitioned it, rebooted and then
tried to mount it but keep getting the error
mount: /dev/hde6 already mounted or /mnt/1 busy
this happens with every partition on any secondary disk, we put a third
disk in and get the same error.
I have googled but not found anything relevant,

Hi all,
I have 2 servers, 1 is DNS master and the other slave for a domain, if I
was to add a second MX record using the master servers IP for the domain

centos 4 installed on P4 won't boot on P3
Hi,
I installed centos 4 on a P4, configured it (and it booted fine here)
then sent it to the DC to be put in a P3 but it won't boot, displays
GRUB and halts.
The DC guys tried grub-install in rescue mode but still the same.
Any clues? Is there some difference between P3 and P4?
thanks

frozen centos 3 server
Hi,
Is there any way to reboot a server that I can't access via ssh, http,
ftp or any port? But I can ping, traceroute & nmap it just fine.
I have no idea what is causing this lockup or lock out, even after a
reboot by the DC there's nothing in the logs to show what happened. :(
