rsync stopped working

Running debian wheezy w/ rsync 3.0.9-4. The command in question is rsync -vahHz --delete --exclude '/proc' --exclude '*.iso' --exclude '/home/holtzm/mail/backup' --exclude '/sys ' --exclude '/tmp'--exclude '/media' /. /media/cf0a98ed-3c11-4107-b61e-f5139d024396/Wheezy-laptop notice the --exclude '/media' notation. rsync errors
...ve come close to that. Couldn't find anything in this list's archives that matched the error message. Did I miss something? restoring system
...populate the directories in these partitions or will it dump everything into /? I realize that I probably be better off creating a snapshot and restoring from that but I have never had good luck with MondoRescue or Clonezilla.
