New Docs - One Look and a Partial Glance
...eck syntax of ''addondocs.txt''? I don''t want to go overkill, but I want to really make these docs be all they can be. Nick, I''m taking guidance from you on this explicitly, so if you have any order or precedence for the docs, the template for rdoc, etc... just hollar. I dont'' want to get stuck if it isn''t in the spot you feel is most beneficial to the project. I plan to work throughout the week on it as I get time. The next few days I have my sister visiting and a funeral to go to so I''ll do as much as I can, but it may not be muc...

find_window_by_xxx doesn''t find Gauge or BitmapButton
I''m fairly new to the Ruby world, particularly WxRuby, so please forgive me if this is ground that''s been covered in the past. I''m trying to load a frame from an XRC file (created using DialogBlocks), and I''m having trouble getting an instance of the Gauge object using the Wx::Window.find_window_by_xxx methods. Burning DVD with upgrade of cdrtools for cdrecord
I am having problems burning DVD's from commandline. I was wondering if anyone else has had any luck using cdrecord-2.01 and cdrtools that is supposed to add DVD support? WxRuby-SWIG and WxWidgets 2.5.x
A while back there was a discussion about what version of WxWidgets to target with WxRuby-SWIG. I don''t remember seeing any resolution, but I gather that thus far WxRuby-SWIG has continued to target 2.4.2, with the thinking that WxRuby-SWIG would quickly mature to the point that it could replace WxRuby, and once that was done the focus would shift to working with 2.5.x.

Idea to possibly improve flac?
...suitable for 'real time" remote sound mixing). Anyway what could happen is the client could do a little bit of re-sampling here or there to ensure its in sync with the servers clock. If anyone is interested in such things, or knows of an existing system that I don't know of, give me a hollar! -David On Fri, Jan 7, 2011 at 5:22 PM, Brian Willoughby <brianw at sounds.wa.com> wrote: > First of all, I am not aware of any official source of FLAC files that > provide MP3 sourced data. ?I meticulously check the music I purchase, > especially when it is 24/48 or 24/96 materi...

Couple questions about backgroundrb
So, what''s the status of this project? I''m a little confused. The documentation at http://backgroundrb.rubyforge.org seems out of date. It refers to http://svn.devjavu.com/backgroundrb/tags/release-0.2.1, which doesn''t work. All I want is a way to easily set up tasks that should run periodically. Some stuff should run every 10 seconds, some stuff once a day, etc.

Idea to possibly improve flac?
First of all, I am not aware of any official source of FLAC files that provide MP3 sourced data. I meticulously check the music I purchase, especially when it is 24/48 or 24/96 material, because this is new technology, and sometimes people get it wrong. However, you should be aware that many modern producers use software to create their music, and when the software stores sound clips in
