run R script automatically by double-clicking WinXP desktop icon
I've written a simple script that does some surveillance analysis on daily counts of walk-in clinic visits, for our county health department. (Actually, Michael Hohle's surveillance package does all the work; I just customized it a little to work with the way our data are recorded.) The output consists of a graph and a little table.
My colleague will run it once in a while, on continuously updated data. She knows nothing about R, at least not yet. I want to...

using several wine versions from .deb packages?
...h this?
How to mix/match both a regularly installed wine in /usr and a local
one in /home and be sure /home/wine does not use /usr/wine?
/home/wine9.09/bin/wine foo.exe > log1
/hmoe/wine2005/bin/wine foo.exe > log2
That would be valuable for regression testing.

qemu sdl parameters via libvirt
Hello List, I run a few VMs via libvirt using '--sdl'. I would like
to use qemu parameters -no-quit, -no-frame and -ctrl-grab with
libvirt. Does libvirt support a way to use these qemu parameters?
Does libvirt provide a way to add these options under <graphics/> in
the domain.xml using 'virsh edit domain.xml'?
My current <graphics/> is as follows:

MIDI default output port / how to select timidity by default?
...t

This does not help. In fact, WINEDEBUG=+reg shows that these keys are
never queried.
I'm using wine-0.9.19 on Debian Ubuntu Dapper, with ALSA output in Wine
(choosing OSS doesn't change results).

OpenGL error in Wine 0.9.20
...uot;, the program's
window comes up. So it is related to OpenGL and the transition from
0.9.19 to 0.9.20.
(In case you're wondering, I still can't play Supreme Snowboarding in
Wine, the program freezes when entering race or training mode, but
that's another topic).

I have got some problem with samba and the browsing.

The samba serves the master browser and wins functions.
The problem came forward when the clinents get ip address via dhcp. The
situation is the following: the clients are dissapearing slowly from the browse

I have follow an example in "samba-3 by example book", where it explain how
to relocate a samba server as ADS member domain, in a sentence it said to
delete all /var/lib/samba/*tdb files, so "winbindd_cache.tdb" and
"winbind_idmap.tdb" files but when I start the samba server again in ADS new
domain something's wrong. Because it is not able to map the same UID and

User not reported on file locked message
I have a very small problem. Thanks for any suggestions.
Say user1 logs onto a Windows XP workstation and opens
file1. Then, if user2 attempts to open the file from
another workstation the following message is displayed:
"file1 is locked for editing by ''"
Problem: *user1* is not displayed between the single quotes.
However, say user1 logs onto a Win98 workstation and
