Backup Exchange mailboxes using rsync
Hi all, Has anyone got any advice on the best way to backup Exchange mailboxes (Exchange 5.5) running on a Windows 2000 server? We already use rsync on a number of other Windows boxes for general file backup. I've read that even if you get backups of the Exchange mailbox files, then it's really tricky to get the mailboxes back into Exchange if the server dies. Anyone got any tips on

Copying CentOS AMIs for EBS encryption
I, Just wondering if anyone was able to look at this option with the current images or could share some tips on copying the image to another AWS account so we can use EBS encryption on the volume without tainting the image too much? Thanks. Andrew. -----Original Message----- From: Andrew Hodgson Sent: 27 July 2017 15:09 To: centos-virt at lists.centos.org Subject: Copying CentOS AMIs for EBS

[CentOS] Copying CentOS AMIs for EBS encryption
Hi, I am trying to copy the latest CentOS image to my own AWS account so that I can enable EBS volume encryption. It currently looks like the option when sharing the image is not enabled to allow direct copying of the snapshots, and I am wondering if this could be looked at? Exclude again

I have: rsync -avz --delete-after --exclude-from=/cygdrive/d/exclude.job 10.1.1.11::ddrive /cygdrive/d/backup The exclude file contains: - /bin - /endofdaybin I want the directories above to be excluded from the job completely, however, they still seem to be copied. Do I have a problem with either the exclude or

Rsyncing a very large directory tree (over 50,000 files)
Hi, I need to rsync a very large directory tree (over 50,000 files). This is not a regular job, after the initial rsync is done, I can do a nightly rsync and only a few files will change. Is there anything I need to be aware of before doing this? I started the script this morning, but it was still building the file list after around 15 minutes. Is it better to do it using several
