[Flac-users] --lax and -r
...periences with that material and Josh's two most recent posts, I'll just stay away from encoding with either of those options and certainly from advising anyone else to use them. Thanks again to both Miroslav and Josh for their help with that question, and a long overdue thanks to Kerry Hoath for assistance with my batch file question some months back. I never shared the eventual solution to that because it is completely dependent on using Lemmy (a vi-imitation for Windows) and thus impracticable for most people on this list.

FLAC: how to dump seekpoints ?
Thank you all very much for making things clear. I had confused seekpoints and cuepoints indeed ! I propose that Kerry's definitions (below) be added to the documentation. regards, Phil ----- Mail d'origine ----- De: Kerry Hoath <kerry at gotss.net> ?: porte64 at free.fr Envoy?: Thu, 2 Apr 2009 11:28:04 +0200 (CEST) Objet: Re: [Flac] FLAC: how to dump seekpoints ? don't confuse seak points and cue points. [Flac-users] flac -t script / test vs. verify
First, many thanks to Kerry Hoath (and some to a friend who is not on this list, but mostly to Kerry) for help with my batch file question. It's working, pretty much, but I'm still tweaking it, and I'll share the results when it's polished to my satisfaction. Related question: according to the longer help file, if...

Playing flac files from external hard drive
...by it. The only problem remains accessing the data through a USB connection, because the disk is obviously not a flash drive and most current players only know flash as a form of external storage. It looks increasingly like an old laptop will have to do. [Flac-users] Re: my flac -t issue: next approach
| yes, the exit code will be 1 if any of the flac files failed | testing, else 0 (i.e. if all of them passed). Thank you, Josh! Now the only trick is to see whether command.com can do anything with that information.

Playing flac files from external hard drive
Hello, I have a 500GB external hard drive with a lot of music in flac format. I would like to find a way to play music directly from the drive through a portable player. I do not own a portable player at the moment and intend to buy one that can support the above requirement. What I don't want to do is copy files across and remove them every time I want to listen to music. Is there a way to
