How do you set the encoder bit reservoir size?
Hi; In the Vorbis 1.1 release notes from July 7, 2004, Monty says "The 1.1 libvorbisenc allows setting the fixed reservoir size (in bits, defaulting to two seconds worth of requested bitrate) and 'hoarding' behavior (whether the encoder tends to keep the bit reservoir more full or more empty) as well as the other encoding heuristics available through the API of 1.0.1." I'm sorry to be so obtuse, but I do not see where in the API to set the reservoir size or hoarding behavior. I checke...

Asterisk and CentOS 8
Hello George, Hope this finds you well! I wonder if there has been any progress on this matter? I've been working to have Asterisk running on CentOS 8 and our jump from CentOS 6 to 8 doesn't look too bad.... The missing packages found are: gmime-devel, iksemel-devel, corosynclib-devel, libresample-devel, hoard and python-devel. Python-devel could be replaced by python2-devel or

Problems Converting from Cyrus to Dovecot (cyrus2dovecot)
Thank you for the reply. I did find imapsync whilst perusing Google. I will give it a shot, it sounds more realistic/reliable. I have a hoard of emails going back to 1999, so I want as few errors as possible :) On 11/7/15 3:31 PM, Philon wrote: > Hi there, > > I was in the same position, but for mutliple accounts. Ok, just provide your own malloc/free. :) -Chris -- http://nondot.org/sabre/

Problems Converting from Cyrus to Dovecot (cyrus2dovecot)
Hello, Because it did not work ? In a similar situation, we where forced to use isync/mbsync in imap to imap mode because dsync did not work. It was reported here more than a year ago (May 2014). Time to time, I see the same report from other trying to use dsync to do a migration to dovecot. Dsync is a very appealing and elegant solution to this usage, but it does not always work in real

outbound IAX calls bog down DSL
Evening, I've got * asterisk up and running with nufone account for inbound and outbound calls from the world... everything works quite nicely except that I noticed last night that when I have a call active from * to nufone, web surfing on the network slows to a crawl... additionally, I have a VPN tunnel to another office (using CIPE) and while inter-office (i.e. - SIP to SIP) calls

Problems Converting from Cyrus to Dovecot (cyrus2dovecot)
Hi, No, I tried fetching over imapc too exactly as you suggested. In my case it was not from cyrus, but from CriticalPath. isync was finally able to do the job, preserving flags and doing UIDs mapping. The most boring part was generating proper config file for thousands of accounts. A working imapc/dsync would have been better. Emmanuel. Le 26/11/2015 15:24, Sami Ketola a ?crit : > Hi,

TDM400 native bridge echo
I have a TDM400 with an FXS and FXO interface. I have adjusted the TX and RX gain for both the FXS and FXO channels so that everything is balanced. I hear myself very loudly with no lag. I also get alot of background noise when the bridge is formed between the FXS and FXO channels. I have read the following articles: http://www.voip-info.org/wiki/view/Asterisk+echo+cancellation

Asterisk and CentOS 8
At the current time, we do not recommend attempting to build Asterisk on CentOS 8. Many packages Asterisk uses are not yet available and would require building from their sources. The Asterisk packages are also not available in the EPEL 8 or CentOS 8 repositories yet for the same reason. We'll update you when we think it's safe. -- *George Joseph* Digium - A Sangoma Company |

pjsip startup errors when using "with-ssl" configure option
Hello list, Hope you are all doing well! I am facing a problem when compiling Asterisk 16.8.0 in a CentOS 6 box and I wonder if someone can put some light on it. Log history short, install_prereq fails to install the packages (not sure how important they actually are....): speexdsp-devel, gmime-devel, uriparser-devel, iksemel-devel, uw-imap-devel, hoard Then, I am running the following commands

Air Conditioning - ON!
All, (and please do not turn this into the next long thread) We have a small team which volunteers their time to create the CentOS releases. They are pounded right now with getting that done... it is as simple as that. Each of us 'chose' to use CentOS and with that choice comes nothing more. Why are we complaining? To me, it is all very self-centered. Basically we're all

Problems Converting from Cyrus to Dovecot (cyrus2dovecot)
Hi, With imapsync you will lose message UIDs which means that IMAP clients need to clear their local caches and redownload all messages. Why not use dovecot dsync over imapc instead? It tries to preserve UIDs and Flags. http://wiki2.dovecot.org/Migration Sami > On 07 Nov 2015, at 23:35, Forrest <those.lists at gmail.com> wrote: > > Thank you for the reply. I did find imapsync

[OT] Tidy of Wiki Sidebar
I have been tidying up bits of the Wiki. This one is not clear cut, so I decided to seek advice. Also, I wasn't sure where to post this question, so defaulted to ogg-dev. Should Speex and CMML be removed from the Wiki Sidebar at: https://wiki.xiph.org/MediaWiki:Sidebar ? Many thanks, Martin -- Martin J Leese E-mail: martin.leese stanfordalumni.org Web:

error compiling icecast on woody
I had this same problem. To fix, I just commented the line with the CURLOPT_NOSIGNAL out since I couldn't find that option anywhere in the curl headers. It's running fine on my Debian woody box. TE110P Hanging up & sometimes not picking up on E&M T1
I'm getting unstable behavior with my newly installed TE110P T1 card. It hangs up any incoming call anywhere from 20 seconds to 6 minutes. Frequently, when you call back on our incoming T1 there'll be an automated announcement (maybe from the telco?) stating "we are unable to complete your call at this time". I simultaeously get a yellow alarm on the system and shortly

Wireless Mic System
I have used several Shure systems, a few Sennheisers and a few AudioTechnica systems. Do not expect any of these systems, even the highest end, to be anywhere as reliable as a wired mic. As the years went on, I generally moved higher and higher end to try to weed out problems I had with units that were due to design or unit flaws. I've been out of the biz for a few years now (since my kids
