[Bridge] Any way of knowing a packet's been defragmented
Hello, Due to a recent change in the bridge code, we now need a way of knowing if a packet has been defragmented. The bridge code now checks on the packet size and drops packets that are too big for the output port. Defragmented packets will get refragmented later, so they shouldn't be dropped. I've been reading the defragmentation code and can't find an easy way of knowing if a

DirectX 8.0
Hi, I'm trying to install the game "Aquanox" under Wine which needs DirectX 8.0. I've found a mail in the wine mailing list archive stating that wine already includes DirectX, but Aquanox keeps complaining about a missing d3d8.dll. Trying to install DirectX 8.0, I end up with "DirectX couldn't be installed on this computer". Any hints on this one? Sebastian --

samba and squid?
Hi all. I'd like to look into using samba in conjunction with squid, to authenticate users before leaving the intranet thru the squid proxy. I'm using RH6, and thought there may be either a PAM module to do this, or the possibility of authenticating against a PDC or samba server for squid authentication? Thanks, Dave

SNAT based on MAC before routing
Hi gurus, I need a way to do SNAT based on source mac before routing. This is because hosts attached to my gateway can have duplicate IP addresses, and I have to distinguish over them. I tried to use the nat tool that comes with iproute2, but this force to make a mapping only address to address, and I wanted to do it by mark (I also use iptables to do that). For example, I tried to

Asterisk disconnecting SIP Calls after 15 Minutes
Hi @ll, I just moved my Asterisk Box and changed the Provider and Internet Access to a full IP Access by Deutsche Telekom. I set up my sip.conf as I found various examples throughout the Net. Calls and some other stuff is basically working. The problem I ran into is, that the outgoing and incoming calls are dropped after exactly 15 Minutes. Solution for this should be setting the

Is it that difficult?
Hello, You will find in attachment the layout of my current physical configuration. For now, the Cable ISP is not used. Since it is a dynamic ISP, my mailserver is rejected and my domain name registers on blacklists like ORDB and al. I want it to be used as a default gateway except for my mail server that would be seen as coming from my "honest" ADSL ISP. Here is

tc filter u32 nexthdr, chained filters?
Hi. Is there anyone who has understood of how u32 nexthdr addressing is supposed to work? (including the "tcp/icmp/.." matches who implicitly uses nexthdr) From reading the kernel code it apparently is using the location set by "offset at", but this seems to only be evaluated on hash parents, and only for it''s children.. I.e. the logic for u32 filter rule
