sas.get function in Hmsic 3.4-4 vs. 3.0-12
Dear R Users,
I have just installed R 2.8 today and also updated the Hmisc package to the latest 3.4-4 version. However, the sas.get function no longer works in the new Hmsic 3.4-4. Below is a sample code and output from the old and new, but the old one worked.
Can someone tell me how sas.get should be used in Hmisc 3.4-4.

xtable and column headings
When I generate a LaTeX table using xtable I have been setting column names
to strings with LaTeX code in order to get features like subscripts in the
column headings. I recently had to reinstall xtable and discovered that all
my LaTeX column headings were printing out in LaTeX code rather than with
LaTeX formatting. For example, with the older xtable I could give my column
a name something like

Building Hmisc
>From the notes I see that for 2.11 Hmisc is not supported and the suggestion is made to build from source. I am on a Windows 7 platform and I got all of the tools and successfully built 'R' from source. I changed to gnuwin32 and entered make all recommended. Even though the tar.gz (source) version of Hmisc has been downloaded and placed in library/recommended folder the build process
