An idea ? <relay> <server>a</server> <port>xxxxxxx</port> <mount>/letsgozik-HiQ</mount> <local-mount>/letsgozik-HiQ-backup</local-mount> <relay-shoutcast-metadata&...

removing outliers in non-normal distributions
...ions in advance.) Currently we Winsorize using the quantile function to get the new high and low values to set the outliers to on the high end and low end (this is summarized legacy code that I am revisiting): #Get the truncated values for resetting: lowq = quantile(dat,probs=perc_low,na.rm=TRUE) hiq = quantile(dat,probs=perc_hi,na.rm=TRUE) #resetting the highest and lowest values with the truncated values: dat[lowq>dat] = lowq dat[hiq<dat] = hiq What I don't like about this is that it always truncates values (whether they truly are outliers or not) and the perc_low and perc_hi sett...

How analyze performance (buffering) problems ?
Hello, I'm looking for a method to track stream performance problems, I mean : why does listeners got buffering ? We are using two "front relay" that are hosted by differents providers. The front relays are connected to our main server (which encode) that is using two ADSL connections from two differents providers. How can I do to know if there is a problem between "Front relay

Icecast 2.2
Hi, My stream host upgraded me to 2.2 and since that time I am no longer listed on the Icecast directory. I use SAM3 and it is setup correctly on my end and my provider states all is set correctly there, but it still does not work. Has anyone had this problem? thanks, Greg http://progpalaceradio.com gregstaf@progpalaceradio.com

[ANNOUNCE] xf86-video-chips 1.4.0
This is a bug fix release of Chips & Technologies DDX for X.Org X Server. There was an X Server crash bug with the Version 1.3 and older code when the code was converted for a newer vgaHW ABI. This affects devices older than the HiQVideo generation. This release fixes this particular issue. Please note that the code may not compile against X Server 1.20 since it no longer supports 24-bit color. icecast2 relaying question
I understand there are two types of relays in icecast2. The master relay which relays everything from a source and a point relay which relays a specific mount point from a source. I have a server which has 3 streams. I want to relay 2 of them. How can I do this? Can I define two relays and two mountpoints within the xml config file? Do i do this in the same relay tag: <relay>

Format printing inside a matrix
Hi Abby, Thanks a lot for your paraphrasing and your suggestion! The problem of wrapping the list into a S3/S4 object, i.e. subclassing array or matrix, is that one also has to define a bunch of methods for subsetting, joining, etc, in order to make it behave like a list array. The reason is that most R functions for subsetting, joining, etc. do not preserve class attributes of the input, which
