Back from hiatus
Hi all, this is not really FLAC-specific but I'm back after being away from the lists for too long.? I'm caught up to about Sep 2011 and working my way through. There are some plans to move the website and possibly the source code management/releases completely to Xiph; more on that soon.

[LLVMdev] Help needed after hiatus
Hello, Richard > Phase: Optimization > optimize bzip2.ubc to become an LLVM bitcode file What's happening here? Are you running some standard LLVM tool like opt? -- With best regards, Anton Korobeynikov. Faculty of Mathematics & Mechanics, Saint Petersburg State University.

Hello, Eli > BTW, It's usually better to file a bug for this sort of thing. I already filled a PR for this stuff. In any case instcombine shouldn't cycle :) -- With best regards, Anton Korobeynikov. Faculty of Mathematics & Mechanics, Saint Petersburg State University.

WEBrick just decided to take a hiatus on me
Good day all. This is one of the most frustrating days I have had with Rails in quite some time now (almost 8 months actually). Yesterday I complete my development and testing and everything is peachy. I head home for the evening and do my things there. This morning, I come back in and do my typical morning routine of starting up eclipse and the usual "ruby script/server" command in

[LLVMdev] More info, was Help needed after hiatus
Hi, I know my last question was very vague (i.e. "It stopped working, what went wrong?"), so here is a little more concrete example: If I run the optimizer (opt) on this code snippet with -std-compile-opts the optimizer hangs. ; ModuleID = 'test.ubc' target datalayout =

test unit approach?
I''m just getting back to looking at backgroundrb after a long hiatus since June. I''m looking at creating some workers but I''m a bit stuck as to how I should write tests for them. What''s the recommended approach for unit testing of workers? The project will ultimately be used by a Rails app but I''m comfortable developing t...

I think that its a matter of just copying the unwind sources into the right place. Im hoping to do this sometime this Friday (or perhaps Saturday). Any objections? I can probably try to take a stab with the CMa...

[LLVMdev] Help needed after hiatus
Hi, I've restarted my Elsa/LLVM project after three months of having real life intrude. I upgraded my LLVM source to the current trunk. I had to make a few changes to my source, e.g. LLVMFoldingBuilder became IRBuilder and several instances of "new" became "Create". Now, a test case that previously succeeded fails. I run the following script: #!/bin/sh if [ 1 -ne 0 ]

wine and windows help
I'm trying to determine if it's possible to use the help system of windows applications running under wine and what I might need to do before it works. I just started using wine again after a long hiatus. I only run one application under wine, xmlspy. I'd like to get its help system working under wine. If I select anything from the help menu nothing happens right now. Is it supported? UK

Linux server not shown in WINS browser
Our shared file server decided to take a hiatus from WINS earlier this week. On friday we could see the machine name in the browse function of any windows box when you went to the map network drives portion of windows explorer. Now the only way I can map a network drive is to enter the server's IP like this: \\ 192.168.xxx.xxx\sharename...

Samba on 3.0.22 on HP-UX 11i - mon.out?
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 After a long hiatus from attention to Samba, I've started to compile the latest version (3.0.22) on HP-UX 11i for testing. I've noticed a couple of things. 1) For some reason, on my test system, every execution of any program that comes in the Samba suite drops "mon.out" files everyplace. Everything...

.Rprofile, .Rfirst, and .Rdata
Hi all, After a short hiatus away from R I have found that it's changed a bit. I used to keep a definition of .First in .Rprofile that did a couple of things on startup (load a couple of libraries). Now, I've discovered that when I change the definition of .First in .Rprofile it doesn't change anything when I s...

[LLVMdev] Using llvm command line functions from within a plugin?
After a several-month hiatus, I've returned to working on my main LLVM project. However, after checking out the latest LLVM head I'm encountering a new problem. When I attempt to load my custom plugin pass into opt, I'm getting this error message: dyld: lazy symbol binding failed: Symbol not found: __ZN4llvm2cl3op...

[LLVMdev] debug stoppoints and control flow
Hi, I'm just getting back to working on the cfe debug info after a brief hiatus. It appears that the appropriate place to be inserting stoppoints is starting in llvm_expand_stmt, using STMT_LINENO(t) . If that's not the best place, comments would be appreciated. Using the debug_hooks seems to be a non-starter, because they're called during rtl generation, which appar...
