Samba 3.5.10 and Windows 7 DNS Issues
...ws 7 clients are on a windows domain, DFBFL.ad.foo.com, but the Samba server is not a member of this domain. Security level in samba is set to USER. I can successfully browe and access samba shares utilizing the IP, \\10.70.147.151\<file:///\\10.70.147.151\>, but cannot using the DNS name, \\hhl-webdev\<file:///\\hhl-webdev\> or \\HHL-WEBDEV\<file:///\\HHL-WEBDEV\> or \\HHL-WEBDEV.DFBFL.AD.FOO.COM\<file:///\\HHL-WEBDEV.DFBFL.AD.FOO.COM\>. Hitting it via DNS name results in continual password prompts.

Help needed: Index filesystem permissions problem after switch to V1.2 and back to V1.1
After V1.2 had been up for a while, I started seeing tons of syslog
error messages like this:
Nov 5 09:11:52 mercury mail:err|error dovecot: IMAP(sdean): stat(/var/dcindx/sdean/.imap/DadEstate)
failed: Permission denied (euid=202(sdean) egid=200(hcrc) missing +x perm: /var/dcindx)
