Upsampling while decoding / Updating
Dear Nikos, thanks! But you use Opus only for resampling, not for entirely replacing Speex, don't you? Greetings! Decoding only a certain frame results in different values than when decoding the entire file
My file is 3 hours long, so decoding takes around 5 minutes on an average computer. That is a bit too long unfortunately... Exact audio position
Hello! I need to extract audio data at a certain position in respect to the original audio data. Is the "-cbr" switch meant to ensure that data can be found on a specific position? I want to be able to predict where certain audio can be found in the encoded data. An example: If you put 10 apples into a box and then compress the box, you will not be able to predict where apple C

Quality difference between opus_demo.exe and opusenc.exe
Hello! I encoded a voice file (48kHz) with opusbin\opusenc.exe with the standard settings and decoded it. The output was amazing. I could not hear any loss at all. Then i encoded the same file with opus_demo.exe and standard settings and then decoded it. The output had a sizzling noise, even when I used full bandwidth. I think I have played around with any of the settings in opus_demo.exe,

Shorewall wireless acccess point
Right now I have a Shorewall firewall protecting a local network with a VPN tunnel between a remote subnet. In total I have 3 zones; net, vpn, and loc. I want to know if it is possible to add a wireless NIC to my server and have it act as a wireless access point for my laptop. I would want to use a separate zone for the wireless client(s) and I would plan on using an encrypted IPSEC tunnel

Decoding only a certain frame results in different values than when decoding the entire file
Hello! I am still using version 1.0.4. When I have encoded a larger file and then only want to decode only one frame from it (for example the 2nd frame), is there anything special that I have to keep in mind? I thought that I could simply read the bytes from the encoded file for example from the start position of the 2nd frame and then decode it. I did that, and I can play it play, but the

Warcraft III cinematics
Hi all, I'm using Wine 20050930 on Gentoo Linux. I have successfully installed Warcraft III and got it working for the most part. I can't get the in game cinematics working. I had them working with Wine 200410??. Now all I get is a message about an invalid resolution. The movie scenes are 800x368 and I run the game at 800x600 using opengl.
