Windows client still tries to connect to old AD after replacement
...ou say about workgroups ? > I do hope that 'DOMAIN' in the above line isn't the same as on the new > AD DC. Hah.  Fair enough.  Unfortunately yes, your fear has been realised, the domain & workgroup for both are the same.  I've now put in a new domain & workgroup, hereinafter referred to as NEWDOMAIN and NEWWORKGROUP respectively, and the old names would be OLDDOMAIN and OLDWORKGROUP.  I've updated the following files to reflect the new domain & workgroup names - let me know if I've missed something: - /etc/hosts - /etc/resolv.conf - Provisioned new dom...

WinbinD no longer available in Samba 4.7.6
...main member and then, >>> only before Samba 4.6.0 >> >> That makes sense, set it explicitle to 'template'. > > Changing it makes no sense, just remove it. Now that's confusing. According to https://www.samba.org/samba/docs/current/man-html/smb.conf.5.html (hereinafter 'man smb.conf'), the default value is 'template'. How does winbind nss info = template differ from ; winbind nss info = template ? I can only see one possible difference - if at some point in future the default changes. >>> dns proxy = no >>> >>...

doveadm backup, question
Hello everyone. I am an inexperienced user of dovecot and I faced probably a simple problem, but I still do not understand how to solve it. The issue is related to using doveadm backup - I want to backup mailboxes; make this copy on the same machine (hereinafter, files with backup copies will be taken from this machine into the storage by a separate mechanism, this is not related to the issue). I am using dovecot 2.2.27 (c0f36b0) on Debian GNU/Linux 9 (stretch). The options related to storing mail and attachments are as follows: mail_location = mdbox:/va...

The Windows builder looks like turned off, am I right that it is not available currently and where were no builds after version 2.6.5-6? I couldn't find any info about proper environment to build Windows

ocaml-augeas is used only by virtlibguestfs, so move it to this repository, instead of having it around in the common submodule. The removal from common will happen later. [PATCH 0/9] tools: remove or disable old/useless/unused/unmainted stuff
depends on "autoconf: regenerate configure scripts with 4.4 version" This series removes some of the really old deadwood from the tools build and makes some other things which are on their way out configurable at build time with a default depending on how far down the slope I judge them to be. * nuke in tree copy of libaio * nuke obsolete tools: xsview, miniterm, lomount & sv *
