How to assign NULL value to pairlist element while keeping it a pairlist?
Thanks, this was what I expected. There is a desire to eliminate the usage of pairlist from user code, which suggests the alternative of allowing for function arguments to be stored in lists. That's a much deeper change though. On Wed, Oct 12, 2016 at 12:31 PM, Henrik Bengtsson <henrik.bengtsson at gmail.com> wrote: > Michael, thanks for this info. > > I've stumbled upon

pp grammar test-files?
Hi, I am working on some tools that read and write pp files, and I wonder if there are some pp files available somewhere that can be used to test a parser. I am especially interested in if there are some tests written that capture invalid syntax. - henrik -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Puppet Users" group. How to assign NULL value to pairlist element while keeping it a pairlist?
Hi Henrik, It would help to understand your use case for pairlists. Process to Incorporate Functions from {parallely} into base R's {parallel} package
FWIW, there are indeed a few low hanging bug fixes in 'parallelly' that should be easy to incorporate into 'parallel' without adding extra maintenance. For example, in parallel::makePSOCKcluster(), it is not possible to disable SSH option '-l USER' so that it can be set in ~/.ssh/config. The remote user name will be the user name of your local machine and if you try to

methods package: A _R_CHECK_LENGTH_1_LOGIC2_=true error
**Maybe this bug needs to be understood further before applying the patch because patch is most likely also wrong** Because, from just looking at the expressions, I think neither the R 3.6.0 version: omittedSig <- omittedSig && (signature[omittedSig] != "missing") nor the patched version (I proposed): omittedSig <- omittedSig & (signature[omittedSig] !=

Why not pthreads on Windows in 'parallel' package?
Aaaah ... and argh - I should have better not to post R question at midnight, especially when I know it forks the process and it's not using threads. Brain meltdown. (So, we'll proceed trying to use pthreads in matrixStats also for Windows). Sorry for the noise and thanks Kasper. Is it possible to retrieve the last error? (not error *message*)
Hi, at the R prompt, is it possible to retrieve the last error (as in condition object of class "error")? I'm not asking for geterrmessage(), which only returns the error message (as a character string). I'm basically looking for a .Last.error or .Last.condition, analogously to .Last.value for values, which can be used when it is "too late" (not possible) to go back

Fil from filsystem -> db
Since Ajax doesn''t support file uploads, I''m using "IFRAME remoting made easy" (http://sean.treadway.info/). I''m saving a file to the filesystem, and then trying to put it in to the database when I do the final submit with ajax. I thought picking the file up and putting it in the db would be as easy as having: "@image.data =

Process to Incorporate Functions from {parallely} into base R's {parallel} package
Hi all, Henrik Bengtsson has done some fantastic work with {future} and, more importantly, greatly improved constructing and deconstructing a parallelized environment within R. It was with great joy that I saw Henrik slowly split off some functionality of {future} into {parallelly} package. Reading over the package?s README, he states: > The functions and features added to this package are

Thank you. To correct myself, I can indeed reproduce this with R --vanilla too. A reproducible example is: $ R --vanilla R version 3.6.0 Patched (2019-05-31 r76629) -- "Planting of a Tree" ... > Sys.setenv("_R_CHECK_LENGTH_1_LOGIC2_" = "true") > loadNamespace("oligo") Error in omittedSig && (signature[omittedSig] != "missing") :
