Question about BUILTIN\Administrators and BUILTIN\Users nested groups in 3.3.3
...\Administrators" and "BUILTIN\Users" local (nested) groups supposed to be populated with DOMAINNAME\Domain Administrators and DOMAINNAME\Domain Users (respectively) by default? If I download the Redhat Samba package, they are populated. Not so with a compiled version. I've had a helluva time populating BUILTIN\Administrators and BUILTIN\Users, even using "net sam addmem". I'm guessing that it is something I'm doing wrong. My compile options are: --with-acl-support --with-configdir=/etc --with-winbind --with-ads --with-pam --with-ldap=/usr/local/openldap Thank...

XCP source disk iso
Hi. The Readme for the disk says that it includes the sources for ocaml but there aren''t any on the iso. Any thoughts? I''m having a helluva time getting these packages to compile and perhaps using the ocaml sources on that iso could help. Thanks. _______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list Xen-users@lists.xensource.com http://lists.xensource.com/xen-users

just wondering...
...knowledge, the people developing LAME could make a major contribution to the OGG development, if they were willing. Sure, MP3 and OGG are in some ways majorly different, but they are similarities, right? With the latest stable release of 3.91, I think the LAME crew has done their best and pulled a helluva lot out of a 7-8 year old codec, but maybe should consider working on OGG development instead? nForce 630i Chipset, unable to get integrated nic working
...the Network support forums but figured I'd shoot it to the mailing list as well. I recently purchased a ECS GF7100PVT-M motherboard and now I'm wishing I'd investigated driver support a little better before I did! I was able to get Centos 5.1 XEN Kernel installed but have been having a helluva time getting the on board NIC going. The MB is running a nForce 630i chipset and has the nic card listed as a Realtek 8111B. I've downloaded what I believe to be the latest Realtek drivers and if I do an lsmod I can see the r8168 module present. I've tried adding the line alias eth0 r8168 t...

list to data frame
Dear R helpers I am trying to convert a list into a data frame but when I try, I get a stack overflow error (Error: protect(): stack overflow). My list contains about 17000 rows and looks like shown at the bottom. The reason that I want to convert it in to a data frame is that I want to export it to a mysql database with the dbWriteTable function. The function that I use is

Questions from a windows admin - Samba, shares & quotas
Hey folks, This may sound a little crazy, but I''m a long time windows admin planning on rolling out a Solaris server to act as our main filestore, and I could do with a bit of advice. The main reason for switching is so we can use snapshots. With Samba and Microsoft''s Shadow Copy Client we can backup everybody''s files and give users the power to restore files

acm codec
does there exist anywhere a useful source version of an ACM for vorbis audio? I've seen the binary one somewhere in Japan, and there's an abandoned project at SourceForge, but I'm having a helluva time building it. I know all the caveats about CBR vs. VBR, ACM/AVI problems etc. but I need it anyway. 40TB File System Recommendations
Hello All I have a brand spanking new 40TB Hardware Raid6 array to play around with. I am looking for recommendations for which filesystem to use. SOLVED: WINBIND: UID and GID false mappings on domain member
I bump this only to say SOLVED and many thanks to Rowland. Lessons learned: 1. Indeed, my problems where related to not having a gidNumber for "Domain Users". After adding it I got real wbinfo --user-info on the domain member (file server). My test user could log in in his old home from the NT domain preserving the old UID and GID. 2. (question = why?) And login.bat was called at
