I am trying to run the PowerPrep GRE studying software (from www.gre.com) under WINE. I can launch the main PPGRE.EXE program, but at one point it needs to launch another program, and when it tries to do so, WINE complains: wine: Unhandled exception (thread 000d), starting debugger... err:seh:EXC_DefaultHandling Unhandled exception code c0000005 flags 0 addr 0x446865ff And then the program

But, those books are stil great trouble shooting devices. The books that sit by my desk all the time though are Linux in a nutshell by Jessica Hekman from O'Reilly. And, the Learning the Bash Shell by Cameron Newham & Bill Rosenblatt. And, for the hardcore (and those without a GUI), Learning the Vi editor by Linda Lamba and Arnold Robbins, also from O'Reilly. You have to learn enuf about linux to bypass all the distribution specific...
