Newbie question about data preparation
...9;d like to add one column with the center of each group with width=2 for an x value in the interval of the class. So the output should look like x y x-grouped 1.3 2.2 1 2.5 3.4 3 3.1 3.7 3 8.2 9.5 9 7.5 8.3 7 What would be the R'ish idiom to do this operation? additional parameters in function called by tapply
...When I'm trying to skip the spatial aggregation, i.e. just do the block_averaging over years, I have the problem (AFIU the man page), that I can't provide the years vector as parameter to the function block_average via tapply. What would be the R-ish approach to this problem. Meta-Analysis using lme
...he intercept is random on both levels and the variable stderr_D (the sampling variance) is supposed to be random only on level one. Besides, I need to constrain the variance of stderr_d to equal 1. Could anybody help me correct the code I provided? Thanks in advance for your time. Cheers, Heike Heidemeier --
