Epi Info
Hello:
Does anybody knows if Epi Info, from CDC (www.cdc.gov/epiinfo) runs on Wine?
I did try AppDB first but there are no entries for Epi Info.
Epi Info is a data base for epidemiology and public-heath developed by
Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (USA) and heavilly used in
the world. It is based on Access 97 or 2000 witch I found in Frank's
Corner AppDB.
Thank you,
Gerson

Upgrading Server Motherboard
...he drives place/mnt in
/dev will change.
I know the best solution is to install CentOS 4.4 on new box, install
Directadmin, and then backup and restore to new server but that will
result in substantial downtime that I am trying to get out off. Plus
a lot of work. The Directadmin install has been heavilly customized
and I will need to remember what I all did to it. Actually I may
still do that but I would like to move to a faster motherboard first
so just maybe the backups run faster.
Thanks for any help or advice.

Samba lock up under Solaris 2.5.1
On our most heavilly loaded Samba server (running 1.9.18p10 under Solaris
2.5.1) we have got occaisional meltdowns with load average rocketing to 100+.
The evidence indicates lots of smbd processes running. Syslogs indicate lots

logwatch patch
Don't remember if I already wrote about this. But ran into it tonibhg
again. Logwatch as distributed with CentOS expects yum log files in
different format. As result, logwatch will not report anything.
The patch is really simple (and attached). Hopefully it'll be part of
4.3 (if not sooner). The upstream is not likely to patch it, since they
don't distribute yum at all.

Building PHP PECL modules
I'm attempting to build some PECL modules on fully updated CentOS 4.2
system. Preferably pack them into nice RPM packages. However, seems
I'm missing something. For example, this is what I get for sqlite module:
$ pear makerpm SQLite-1.0.3.tgz
`phpize' failed
The php-devel package is installed (so I do have phpize command). It's
just that it is failing. If I unpack the
