Trouble with mChoice() in the Hmisc package.
Hi All:-- I've started using the the Hmisc reporting facilities recently, mostly successfully. I'm having some trouble with mChoice() multiple-choice objects, though. Here's some example code and output from R-help a couple of years ago: library(Hmisc) Symptom1 <- c("Headache", "Headache", NA) Symptom2 <- c(NA, "Anxiety", NA) Symptoms <-

NA's in multiple choice summary table in Hmisc
Hi, I have a set of 30 binary variables measuring side effects after drug treatment. Since each subject can have multiple side effects, I want to display these side effects in a multiple choice table. I'm using the summary and mChoice functions of the Hmisc package, because it produces nicely formatted latex tables. My problem is, that table includes a category for people who have at

summary of the effects after logistic regression model
Dear all, my aim is to estimate the efficacy over time of a treatment for headache prevention. Data consist of long sequences of repeated binary outcomes (1 if the subject has at least 1 episode of headache , 0 otherwise) on subjects randomized to placebo or treatment. I have fit a logistic regression model with Huber-White cluster sandwich covariance estimator. I have put in the model the

Admin headaches
Greetings I just migrated from a Debian install to a Gentoo install, and I'm having some issues getting the admin page to work. I have setup the acl policy and hosts.allowed the same way as on the Debian box, but I can't figure out how to use the *.aut files. When I try to connect to the admin page, I get this: [31/Jan/2004:00:12:03] [11:Connection Handler] No mountfile found, refusing

realtime sipusers and rtcachefriends... big headache!!

I have enabled in sip.conf rtcachefriends=yes and ignoreregexpire=yes Each account has nat=yes Now, I have lot of problems. for example, when I change the 'secret' field of a user in the database, it doesn't get reflected in Asterisk, who is still expecting the old

The VMWare headache and NUT
I'm having an UPS connected to my ReadyNAS 2100 (running NUT, btw) who is in turn providing iSCSI storage for my two vmware host boxes. The same UPS provides power for those two boxes. I have a proper license, so the vmware vMA 4.1 _CAN_ in theory shut down the hosts (not a read-only connection as you get with the free version), but I'm having issues getting NUT to ... play ball with the

SAMBA + ACLs + QUOTAs + WINBIND = headache
Hello I'm trying to set up a samba server on linux that will have ACL capability and QUOTA control. I'm working on a customized 2.4.18 kernel patched for EAs and ACLs, and quotas I've also customized a 2.2.3a samba with acls, winbind, quotas... it's working fine from a pure unix point of vue, acl allow fine grained access control, quotas limit use of space, and so on with samba

Microsoft Windows Offline Folders headaches
Once working they are great, but getting offline folders to re-synch can sometimes waste many tens of minutes. Right now I have a Windows 2000 laptop with a Samba server's existing public folder share set as offline within network hood on the laptop (\\Emerald\Public). The Windows laptop and the Samba server are in the same workgroup. Other Windows clients can browse to the Samba server, get

Compiling mount.cifs on OS X Client 10.3.x and headache
I tried but...I can only see a huge list of warnings and errors :(( Why?? When I compiled Samba on other BSD and SysV operating systems everything worked. I always thought that OS X is *not* a full-compatible BSD system (if you try to compile any tarball of any free software, you have to fight a lot) but now I think I'm pretty sure about it. Is there a solution or not?

Tabs Gems giving headache
I might be a newb or something but when I tried tabs_on_rails gems and other gems, I get a list of links instead of tab links. I followed the tutorial in the wiki and downloaded the gems via a bundler, does anyone know why this is happening? -- Posted via http://www.ruby-forum.com/. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Ruby on Rails: Talk"

Samba 3 + Win2k = Headache
...pping the Samba server altogether, since nothing we do seems to work, but even that's causing problems. To get it to work, we have to use NIS for authentication, and access all the home directories via NFS. This all apparently requires much configuration on the Windows server, and is causing me headaches... besides, being an anti-Microsoft guy, I feel like I'm abandoning my brethren in Linuxland. I'm very open to suggestions... I've just about exhausted all the options I can think of... so if anybody has any advice, please let me know. Shannon ____________________________ Shannon J...

Headaches with Video over SIP
Greetings all, I'm playing with asterisk and two Polycom VSX300 videoconferencing units. And I'm having zero luck getting video working over SIP. The two units register fine with asterisk, and with "allow=all" in sip.conf, the two units establish voice. But no video. And no obvious messages as to whats going wrong. The config for each is (they're numbered 201 and
