Hello, I had a scientific linux 3.0.4 system (rhel compatible), with 3 ide disks, one for / and two others in linear raid (250 gb and 300 gb each). ...on is Toshiba Portege R150 with Debian Sarge on it. And then I installed same version of Xen into our server with Debian Sarge and Kernel 2.4. Booting dom0 is not success , xen always trying look dor NFS root and then request for floopy , anybody experience with this syndrome ? I need to disable the spin-down on an external USB drive because it spins down spontaneously while in use. The drive forgets the spindown-disable state across power outage so I need to reissue the hdparm command with each boot or hotplug. Where should I put the hdparm command to do this?

Have 4 harddrives hde,hdg etc all of these drives are mounted in samba. When i copy file from one drive to another i notice that server sends the file to my computer and then back to itself (into the right place). The file will be copied but doing so it will eat half of my network bandwith. Is it possible to aviod this...
