Reporting success with Intel HD4000 VGA Passthrough
Hi, I was able to do VGA/PCI Passthrough on an i7-3770 integrated GPU HD4000 to a Windows 8 HVM. Xen 4.1.3 running on a Debian Wheezy (kernel 3.2.0-3-amd64 and 3.5-trunk) dom0, xm toolstack and pci-stub were used. Other PCI devices such as USB 2.0 controller and audio were also passed to the domU. The hardware used is the following: Intel Core i7-3770 CPU, Intel D...

Xen and nvidia
Hi all, I''ve got a couple of questions regarding the current status of nvidia with Xen, since it is well known that nvidia doesn''t work as smooth at the moment with Xen (comparing to ati). My current goal is to use one nvidia gtx460 card and the onboard intel hd4000 on dom0, and then do passthrough for another nvidia gtx460 to a Windows domU. I know there are patches from Jean David Techer for Xen and nvidia vga passthrough. Are those patches and steps (such as dumping the VGA rom) needed if I only want to use the nvidia card on Dom0? I also understood t...

Intel HD4000 IGD pass through appears to work, but monitor complains about 'no signal'
I''ve seen a recent report claiming that it works: http://linux-bsd-sharing.blogspot.pt/2012/10/howto-xen-413-windows-8-hvm-domu-with.html However, in my case, with a slightly different HW configuration the story is totally different. :-( My config: HW: I7-3770 + AsRock H77M-ITX board Dom0: Debian Wheezy stock xen (v4.1.3) + Debian stock kernel (3.2.x / 3.6.x) 64 bit version. Note that

Intel HD 4000 VGA passthrough not working
Hi all, I have an i7-3770 which has the Intel HD 4000 graphics. I''ve been trying to pass it through to DomU with no success. With a Linux DomU, the i915 module simply will not load because intel_agp is not loaded properly when it cannot find the AGP bridge. ( With a Win7 DomU, it BSODs straight away during the boot with SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION. With a WinXP DomU, it got further

ATI VGA Passthrough / Xen 4.2 / Linux 3.8.6
Hi, I''m trying to get VGA passthrough to work to an XP x64 guest, and I''m seeing "interesting" things happening. I''m using the kernel and userspace tools from here: http://xen.crc.id.au/support/guides/install/# on Scientific Linux 6. I gave up on trying to get an Nvidia card to work in the guest having read about the extra patches required to get a

Does CentOS support dual graphics cards with 2 monitors each?
I have a user who wants to have 4 monitors attached to his CentOS 6.4 system. I know that you can't use both on-board video and a PCI video card at the same time, but what about two PCI video cards? The system seems to recognize them as shown by the lspci -v output below, but I can't get Xorg to use the second card. Has anyone done this? If so, what is the trick to get it to work?
