Can R read data from stdin?
Is there anyway I can write a script which feed input datasource from stdin and let R process it (maybe frequency report) then output the report to stdout? I can't seem to find much info on documentation or FAQ on this topic. Thanks! Can R work on very large of data?
Hello.. I am pretty new for R, but if I understand it correctly, when R read data by doing something like "d <- read.table("/dev/stdin")", it read entire data first then start processing.. Is there anyway I can tweak R around so that it will start processing as data comes and not load everthing on memory at once? The reason for this is because we have a case where

Morikawa, What do you mean by "logged-in user"? %u stands for the username. If, for an example, user "morikawa" exists in your dovecot server (I mean as local user), your quota warning configuration should be fine. But if user "morikawa" does not exist in your server, and, dovecot can't resolve the username to the mail address, then the quota warning mail be

dealing with package bundles (was RE: Gregmisc)
Given the confusions that some users have regarding package bundles, I'd like to suggest some changes to how package bundles are handled. My understanding is that a package bundle is essentially a convenient way to distribute related packages, so that users can download/install them in one shot. However, some users apparently get confused that one can do install.packages("abundle")

I am learning glm function, but how do you fit data using exponential distribution with glm? In the help file, under "Family Objects for Models", no ready made option seems available for the distribution as well as for other distributions satisfying GLM requirements not listed there.

Hi, all. we use quota-warning emails to notify you of quotas. In rare cases, the email address has changed to the logged-in user. (Because the address of %u is passed as the logged-in user.) So I couldn?t send the email with ?Recipient address rejected: User unknown in local recipient table?. Why does my email address change to a logged-in user? %u of "quota_warning = storage = 95 %%

Graphics device history recording problem (Previous and Next utilities)
I use 1.7.0 version under Windows XP. Problem: When graphics device history recording function turned on, suppose I source a file containing lines: plot(graph1) plot(graph2) I see the graph2 in the graphic device, assuming graph2 is the last plot in the file. Now using "Previous" under history menu, I get graph1 as expected. But after that, using "Next" does not show graph2.

saving window size of a graphics device in windows possible?
In MDI mode of Windows, is it possible to save window size and other parameter settings of a graphics device when it is activated, much like Rconsole file? By default the bottom part of a graphic device (windows()) is too big such that it is hidden under the horizontal scrolling and status bar of Rgui. (Of course I can use the vertical scrolling bar of Rgui to see the hidden part.) So I select
