In recent months I started noticing a new type of log message. Here are some examples. One of each but my logs show many runs of these types of messages. Along with others but these are the majority type. Imagine lines like these repeated many times in the syslog. This is not general on Solaris 10 -- it works for others, as the R-admin manual told you. What sort of file system is the test being run on? It does look very like a Solaris file system bug. I have a Samba problem with eGroupware. Samba 4 is screwing with my eGroupware UIDs causing Havoc. Samba 4 uses the last four Digits of the SID rather than the UID Number. I need to know how to alter my user entry SID so that the last four digits of the SID is congruent with the UID Numbers of my users. Is there really a need for these complications? Packages emitting this warning are broken by definition and should be fixed. Perhaps we could "flip the switch" in a test environment and see how much havoc is wreaked and whether authors are sufficiently responsive?
