Rolling algorithm vs CRC
Hello, I have previously mailed on list that I am trying to port rsync to NT. I was wondering that whether CRC can be used to find check sums rather then rolling algorithm. I havnt found any document on web comparing rolling algorithm with CRC. -- Hasanatkazmi@gmail.com "I hate Capitalism,so naturally I love Open Source" -- Hasanat Kazmi +923464362473 -------------- next part -------------- HTML attachment scrubbed and removed

speex over radio and homemade hardware
...already the radio transmits telemetry data such as speed, voltage of batteries and other stuff, I don't know how they currently have that working but my adviser seemed pretty confident that I could find a solution, and seeing as how I am still in my first semester of college taking cs11(c++) I havnt had much experience dealing with other platforms outside of linux and win32. please tell me what you think, if maybe I could get this to work in a few months. <p>--- >8 ---- List archives: http://www.xiph.org/archives/ Ogg project homepage: http://www.xiph.org/ogg/ To unsubscribe from t...

The effects of queueing on delay
I have a router with 3 network interfaces like in the following ASCII diagram below. All interfaces are 100mbit. There is tcp traffic being sent from net1 to net3 and from net2 to net3 and the tcp connections consume as much bandwidth as possible. There is a pfifo queue on the egress interface eth0 of the core router with a limit of 10 packets. net1 --> (eth1) router (eth0) -> net3

install totaly messed up
I have just moved to a new server and transfered all my files over etc and also installed wine using yum, however I had a script on my site that used wine (via exec command) that no longer worked after the transfer to the new server. I tried a few things on the server thinking it was a problem with current setup but got nowhere, I then uninstalled wine via "yum erase wine" and

Rails Document must be more detailed otherwise...
In java/c++ the method signature provide a good details on which parameters the method accept, but in rails the ability to send hash as parameters make it impossible to know which parameters can be send. This ability make the rails API doc a must to be full of details and not supply partial examples of usage. When for example I see *link_to_remote*(name, options = {}, html_options = {}) I would

Cisco to asterisk termination with h323 and g729 finally works.
...o, I managed to terminate calls from cisco: as5300 and 7206 to asterisk over h323. I tested both oh323 from inaccessnetwork and JerJers chan_h323. I used 1.12.2 version of oh323 and 1.5.2 version of pwlib. After latest changes from JerJer chan_h323.c works ok when receiving traffic from ciscos. I havnt found any audio problems although I didnt send much traffic. Latest oh323 has some problems with proper g729 codec recognition to be able to terminate from cisco on asterisk both g729 and g729A needs to be set in config file. Also audio from cisco to asterisk is garbaged and almost unrecogniza...

ACS-38 SmartCard reader
Hi, Has anybody tried to get an ACR-38 USB smart card reader working with the devel/pcsc-lite library under FreeBSD? The vendor, Advanced Card Systems, seems to provide a Linux driver with sources, which I could probably port without too much hassle (depending on the license and such) at http://www.acs.com.hk/downloads_drivers.asp#ACR38, but neither that page nor Google nor marc.theaimsgroup.com
